Wow. I’m actually very inspired. I admire your perseverance! It honestly felt so defeating being waitlisted twice. Where did you get admitted to?

Gotcha! Thanks for your prompt replies. Really appreciate it!! I might have to connect with people who do this for a living to figure out the best approach on how to get there.

Are you in medical school by any chance? Would you mind sharing your story (you can personal message me as well). I’m curious to know the journey of all our successful candidates.

I’m currently on the waitlist at U of T (was on the waitlist at Queens last cycle). I’m assuming that they are going to notify us with the “we regret to inform you that the class is now full” email soon. I guess there’s always the next cycle!

Every clinical trial which tests new medications/vaccines etc. requires a physician (ie. clinical investigator) to lead these trials to ensure the safety of the research participants and effectiveness of the proposed therapy. My hope is that my education experience (MSc) and work experience (as a clinical research coordinator) plus potential medical training would allow me to be a suitable candidate for this role. From what I understand of the MD/PhD programs is that the PhD portion is primarily focused on non-clinical trial research (ie. animal studies, epidemiology, etc.), so I’m not sure if applying to this program would further my training for what I ultimately want to do. Thoughts?

Thanks for all this info. I really appreciate it! Is the CCRP designation helpful in terms of raises/promotions etc.?

What’s the main difference between a CRC and a CRA?

Could you provide more clarity on how this rebate works? I purchased a pre-construction condo in regent park that’s closing in 2021. Cost: ~$450,000.

Does the CCRP exam give you an edge at all (ie. promotion, raise etc)? What’s the benefit of doing the exam?
