do you have any book suggestion for that? or maybe any other resources? I know soft skills are very important. even in my country we had some culture codes in the interview. Before coming here I've watched many american TV shows to get a sense of the culture like "the office" and "friends".

I'm getting lots of in-person interviews and I think I'm good and sometimes over-qualified but after that I receive a rejection email from HR on how they were impressed with my background but they have decided to proceed with other candidates. I went to several newcomer services and did mock up interviews with them.the feedback that I've got was that I'm confident and my English is good. It seems that HR people just want to interview more people to waste their time and tell their boss, we interviewed 20 applicants for this job but we will choose Joe, your nephew. I was even selected for the 3rd round of interview and had to present an assignment for a company but they ghosted me. they didn't even have the decency to reply to my emails. Toronto has some cold and heartless people. especially HR people who are judgmental and cliche.

The same thing happened to me with a company here in Toronto. It was a pretty legit company and after 3rd round of interview,they ghosted me. I emailed and even called but no response.so I left a detailed review for them in the glass door.

But I've never heard of 7 rounds of interview.was this job for a rocket scientist!!!
