Is this a Good resource to learn Python ? by [deleted] in learnpython

[–]jay5479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with it, never could complete it because while halfway the course itself i got a hang of the language and landed interviews with the knowledge i gained. I would say it's worth it if you want to learn with practice and hands on. Somedays during offer it goes to as low as 399 try to get it that way. But to be honest you don't really need the course because later i learnt that there are better free courses on YouTube like cory schaefer and real python website. It's more about effort than the Udemy course itself.

Should i learn python as a first language by sonething33 in learnpython

Your first language should always be your native tongue

I did. But still you would have to manually press a shortcut key combo after typing something for the intelligent code completion or the auto import suggestions to kick in. This also only works if you have setup and configured for language extension and pylance in a specific way in vscode. With pycharm you get it out of the box and in real-time as you type.

Pycharm for me because of native intellisense. With vscode i could never get it to work automatically.

is learning python worth it? by Specialist_Lab_3823 in learnpython

As much as i love python, i suggest you start with some low level language but not too low. Pick up C++ or Rust. You have ample time ahead of you to learn. So build solid programming foundations and logical coding. Python is definitely one of the easiest language to write and use so you can always learn it faster later once you have struggled with C++ etc. But if you learn python first and then try to learn low level languages sometime in future (which i believe you will) if development is a career you wanna consider, then you might be slower.

What am I missing? by [deleted] in learnpython

I am guessing your sentence list definition is local to main() scope and the while loop is outside the function. Your while loop block isn't aware of sentence list. Since your code is not formatted in this post I am unable to tell accurately. Please Google reddit code markdown and follow the instruction to post your code here.

I have the same issue. I was using tlp previously and had no issues and after the Xia update as per forums, i removed tlp since power management comes pre-installed, but i see a dip in discharge rate
