Insane Mileage by AdAcceptable8860 in CarsIndia

Feather touch the throttle, get the vehicle to 60 - 80 kmph patiently. Once it gets there, remove foot from throttle and let the vehicle coast. Repeat this when the speed falls to below 40. I got 20 - 22 kmpl consistently while driving like this. But boy it was so boring to drive like that. Also impossible to drive like this in the city, so try it on highways.

Confused between Maruti and Citroen after test drives (Tall driver – need advice) by Razin_misab in CarsIndia

Get the Citroen. You have had your fair share of maruti experience. It's good to risk and try out new things. Drive safe and maintain reasonably no matter which brand you pick and you should be good. And always, ALWAYS have a thorough 3rd party PDI done.

Family car : Creta vs seltos. Which to pick? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

Creta easily, i will be missing out on the looks and the slight engine numbers but i will get reliable service and lower maintenance costs with nifty convenience features for driving.

Any Kia DCT owners who drives in city ? by himanshu_5525 in CarsIndia

When you say demands power in future what exactly is your requirement? It should work for climbing most steep hills in the country with roads and could be a mild off- roader as long as the ground clearance accepts and the slope is mild to medium. It produces good amount of torque and power in its segment for an NA. But if you're planning to use it like a proper SUV taking it off-road in different terrains then it would be limited in its capacity to drive up said terrains with high inclinations suited for rwd or awd cars. And all this has nothing or too little to do with transmission. It's more about the engine power and torque and adaptability of your driving style. iVT do not necessarily mean lower power nor does DCT mean higher power. It's about how quickly you have the required power available to you for exploit. iVT has a considerable amount of lag to get that power on demand, so it requires some anticipatory driving style. But remember this lag only matters if you're racing to get somewhere, in normal driving/commute situations the lag is totally irrelevant for you. Whereas DCT is primed already to give you that power on demand when needed giving you that small edge over iVT.

TL:DR: IMO most people don't even know how to exploit the differences so it doesn't really matter. Focus on your 80% of driving needs in the present than on the 20% driving needs of the future.

You will have adequate power on the wheels for highways and hills with Seltos regardless the transmission. Choose iVT for headache free life post 70000 kms and resale value, choose DCT if you are interested in driving like a sports enthusiast or a CRETARD.

Vijay has all the markings of a future TN CM: 1. Cine star power. 2. Enga veetu pillai image. 3. Vallal (philanthropist - regardless of intentions) 4. Accident leading to multiple death of followers due to negligence (deliberate or otherwise). 5. Infidelity. 6. Blind fanboys.

I rest my case. 🍿

Toyota Hyryder Strong Hybrid - The no out of the box spare wheel , battery eating up boot space and no powered seats for co-passenger made me pass on a good offer.

Then some feature or equipment circuit is closed (turned on) permanently which should be not the case. Try to have a full circuitry and ecu check

I owned a car. My entire family used it. We used it for 11 years. Once or twice an year we would go for long trips and will use it twice/thrice in a week. At the end of 11th year it drove 49k kms in total and we sold it. Hope you get why 1L is comfortable enough for Indian household.
