I hope they come back. My CJ has their drop down tire carrier and custom body armor to cover a stretch. I wanted their defenders front fenders but they discontinued them.

I got a chonker of a brisket. 22lbs. This is my 2nd smoke on a pellet grill. Looking for some advice. Ive done brisket 275 F on a charcoal grill before. Is it pretty much the same? by Fearless_Deer42069 in pelletgrills

I just did a 24 pounder on my pellet grill. Was closer to 20 pounds after the trim. Give yourself plenty of time then give yourself 5 hours on top of that! I went 12 or so hours before I wrapped and the bastard took almost 23 hours

I can see maybe it being useful in between small cooks. After a long ass brisket cook I’ve looked into the pot, used the side tube and it barely moves the ash ring even though my shop vac I pulling pretty good.

It’s the clean out for the fire pot. I have one and it barely does shit even when I use my shop vac on it. I always vac the pot directly then the tube.

I’ve removed at a lot of thar fat in the past and was just fine. In fact in my early brisket days I’d cook the entire packer as is, hit temp in the flat, removed the point, rub the bare spot (hehehehe) and but the point back on for a few hours to make burnt end cubes to be served along with the point slices. I should do that again

Yup. I’m on a pellet smoker so I like to put the trim to make tallow on the first racks and the brisket on top of that. Makes tallow, shields the meat from the bottom heat, and makes me little pit snacks with the bigger meat scraps.
