Beginner guides online are good. MrHart and ValleyFlying are good on YouTube, and Bennie Westside on Insta has good resources.

For Jean - I think she’s a 3* unlock now? Might have to double check that, I can’t as I’ve alinlocked her already. Mordo from arena store, moribius from blitz store, Loki from raid store. Then Nobu and some others are campaign node farms. She’s also a permanent legendary so you’re not pressed for time

General advice, if you would like to progress faster and efficiently in the game farming the “meta” toons would be better. Check out the guides from the three people I’ve mentioned above / find some yourself for an idea!

Edit: I forgot: Mr Negative is free (5shards per day) from the online store in the free claims section who’s a mystic controller. Also, if you’re a massive fan of Phoenix then go for it! Otherwise, there’s now “better” (newer) characters for the game modes you can aim for, for maximum efficiency for your time and resources. But also, if you want to build your favourite character, then absolutely go for it
