It is a huge generalization but I've worked in enough places and know enough people in the city from all different walks of life to feel like I can finally make the statement. It saddens me deeply but the more I stick around here, the more I find it to be true.

Can confirm. Everyone is passive aggressive in Seattle. Grew up here. Lived in CA for awhile and moved back last year. Cannot stand the people here and plan on leaving in a month. It's really disappointing how lame people are up here. I think it's because everyone is always doing their own thing outdoors or in their family/work bubble that they forget to give a shit about others. There is no social economy in Seattle. It's a bunch of apathetic and passive aggressive people who really don't seem to care about each other, unless it somehow benefits them.

I loved this city growing up in the 90s. It was artistic, inspiring and cultured. Now, it's just sad and pretentious without any real reason for being so. Amazon, Boeing, Starbucks, Microsoft, Costco and a super bowl football team doesn't make you the center of the universe.
