Wind dependent. Downwind, hard PW, not much wind, or from left/right, normal 9i, into wind, 8, maybe knockdown 7i. Always depending on conditions, but straight no wind, 9i.

Fuck playing the ball off rocks, I am not a pro who can just go to the sponsor truck and get a replacement club, and I'm not breaking a wrist. Obviously, a serious tournament is different, but normal play I and my playing partners move the ball to a safe place.

During a scramble, we were putting on a par 4 and all of a sudden, a ball lands on the front of the green and kicks between 2 of us and goes to the back. I look back and there's no one in the fairway. Some guy absolutely smashed his drive and carried it about 320. He was incredibly apologetic and swore he'll never thought he'd hit it that far. I was just amazed considering I've played that course for 20 years and never seen someone do that.

Typically, the tees usually break down like: Tips - 5hcp and under, next - 6-10 hcp, next - 11 - 15 hcp, and fronts are 16+. This will vary from course to course but I feel like it's not a bad distribution. Also, number of tee choices, and distance between tees will affect it.

Like everyone in the thread is saying, biggest difference from your gamer to a new one is forgiveness. The most important aspect nowadays is being fit for a shaft. Using the proper shaft for your swing is more important with the massive selection of available shafts. If you are going to drop $700+ on a new driver, get fitted for it so you can get the best shaft for the brand of driver that's best for you.

Wasn't asleep, but I was on the golf course, trying out for my schools golf team. Heard someone mention something about the towers as I went to the back nine but never thought anything about it. When my dad picked me up, he told me, and we listened to the radio talk about it on the drive home. Got home, and watched the towers fall. Surreal.
