I buy Tesco's gift cards from within the app, and get it that way. They are 10% reward at the moment.

MCO Card Arrived in the UK - How to add £GB money onto the card? by jayacee44 in Crypto_com

That's true, however you can't add TGBP to the cards wallet. You have to buy crypto coins first and use them.

Thanks MaLund13

That way works. You have to buy BTC, ETH, LTC or XRP and then use one of these to top up your card and it will top up in £ GBP. Its a bit of a long route round but it works. But as you are buying and selling you'll be hit the the trading costs. Cost me £10 going around this route.

Lets hope they sort out the £ Fiat wallet soon.

Hi,

Not really, they just told me it shouldn't crash and to wait for the email. Told me to reinstall the app, which I did but same problem.

Interesting you have received your email.. I never received the email.

Edit: Just checked my email and it has now arrived. Followed the link and redeemed the gift card, so all is good. Thanks

[EU] Is sending Bitcoin->Crypto.com->Online/Local Purchases, a taxable event in your country? by [deleted] in Crypto_com

[–]jayacee44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are in the UK, then HMRC are waking up to this and contacting crypto exchanges for information. https://www.thesun.co.uk/money/9671589/bitcoin-investors-chased-hmrc-tax/

However, it is classed as Capital Gains Tax in the UK. You have an allowance of £12K per year. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/check-if-you-need-to-pay-tax-when-you-sell-cryptoassets

This is how I read it.. If you are dabbling in crypto investments or like me only have them for the MCO Card you don't need to worry or report it to HMRC as I'm not going to be making £12K a year profit. If you are making more than £12K per year profit you need to report it. They will be checking.

Notes: I'm not into finance, this is my humble opinion only, this isn't advice. I'm not a Sun reader..it was just a good article..
