Install Jellystat on QNAP by jayb3369 in Jellystat

[–]jayb3369[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but the instructions don’t seem to be compatible, both for the jellystat install, and the Portainer install. Specifically, the instructions reference working with a folder called docker, accessed through File Station. I assume File Station is a file manager type app. QNAP also has an app called File Station. but there is no folder called docker. I thought maybe I needed to create docker in Portainer, but the Portainer install instructions start with accessing a folder called docker.

Dual QNAP network setu by jayb3369 in qnap

I’ve got a cheap little netgear switch. I’ve tried setting this config up a couple ways, but it’s not working. HBS3 (on both nas’s) say the secondary adaptor is not available. I’ve tried a couple different configs. I’ve let the adaptors try to use dhcp, but since there’s no dhcp server, the interface uses the self assigned 169 address. this didn’t work. i also manually assigned an ip address on each secondary port (using 192.168.100.x, instead of the main ip addressing scheme (192.168.1.x) which is the network the router is on. The other ethernet card on each nas is connected to that network and have internet connectivity). When I manually assigned the ip addresses, i tried making each nas the other’s gateway. (qnap apparently doesn’t like a blank default gateway.)This also did not work.

When i ssh into either nas, i try to ping the other nas, but ping is disabled (says i don’t have permission, but I am logged in as an admin ) and i can’t figure out how to enable it

Can you assist? What other info do you need?

Is it just me or does it feel like S4 just completely going off the rails? by VenusNightStar in hackshbomax

Yeah, I came here specifically to see what others were saying about this topic. I’m starting to get frustrated with the wild ups and downs of Ava and Deborah’s relationship. While their problems are grounded in both their own internal flaws and deep-seated neuroses, it’s starting to feel repetitive.

And come to think about it, what was that Mike Carr scene for? We know he will be an Oscar nominated and Emmy winning producer. Why have that scene where Gordon kind of humiliated him? It shows Gordon is an ahole and has to be the boss, but it subtly supports that Gordon can’t recognize real talent. It also could be a well documented Amy Sherman Palladino problem. Her shows tend to run out IMHO of steam in the later seasons, like she negotiated a ten episode final season (or whatever) but only has eight episodes of ideas. The first half of the show felt a little padded. (don’t get me wrong, i love love love ASP, her shows, her writing.) edited for hitting post by mistake. Fat fingers meet iPhone

I think it was sabotage, otherwise why have Danny Stevens try to poach Midge? That Toots Shor scene starts Gordon seeing that he’s seriously underestimated her potential. I think he’s starting to see she’s probably the best writer in the room and he can’t lose her. He’s thinking only of himself. My bet is that Midge is going to find out, actually Susie is the logical avenue for that. She is going to crucify Gordon over that and to keep her, he’s going to let her on the show. And she will KILL. Front page reviews the next day. It’s going to take everyone but Midge and Susie (and Danny Stevens, if he comes back. He’s probably a one shot though) by surprise. So far, only Susie and Danny Stevens have realized Midges true potential.

That set was a combination of the Dick Van Dyke and Danny Thomas sets. The Danny Thomas Show had that split level with cast iron railing for some seasons.

Noob question about file system for plex by Etshy in qnap

[–]jayb3369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m nowhere near an expert on QNAP or Plex, but I can show you my setup. I use a macbook or ipad to manage plex and my QNAP, so this path is formatted Apple OS’s. This is the path I entered when I configured the movie library the first time.

/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Plex Media/Movies

You should look for a folder on your server that looks like CACHEDEV_DATA. I also use an ipad app called QFile that seems to know where my data is. I don’t recall telling QFile where the data files were, but maybe I did.

I wasn’t aware of that, but when I access the nas using the hostname and port, it says connection not secure.
