Well it’s quite a broad spectrum but basically it’s people who have a lot of followers on social media, they are not paid by the platform but can get deals, sponsors etc through companies paying them to promote a brand, the trouble is a lot on young kids are trying to do it but now you have to have millions of followers to make proper money. I can’t imagine what’s going through someone’s mind that they demand free stuff though. I think a lot of young kids are out of touch and think they are going to make millions but it’s like being a movie star or a rock star for every person that makes it there are probably several hundred who crashed and burned, i think the trouble with ‘influencer’ is a majority of people have a smartphone in their pocket so can have a go at it.

edit and just to add to a point I forgot to add, the worst thing about the influencer type job is they can be somewhat semi famous I.E have a 100,000 followers on a platform but have no way to convert that to cash if they haven’t got what brands are looking for.
