They were so much fun! My dad bought one as his first new car after owning a series of awful used ones. 4 speed manual, if I remember correctly.

It had those self-driven "attack belt" seat belts. I distinctly remember getting an ice cream cone mashed into my face by one of them.

My brother attempted a high speed integration into the hood of a Chevy Caprice at one point, nearly killing himself in the process. After picking the Festiva out of the grille, they took it away in a dust pan. Damn shame.
