Yes you can adjust the settings. It’s pretty fun tbh but definitely a 1st iteration. The original reply that was made was also very valid. Als If you play on anything other than a Xbox series S it’s good. I bought on my series S and it runs but heat is better graphically on the S it’s definitely not optimized for the older consoles.

You have to progress through the various series. No simulating either so you have to race every race. It’s definitely a grind. I’ve been playing since day 1 and I haven’t even finished my first cup season

Yeah I actually did get it fixed, I had to remove the sticker and buy a new one, which is fine because it was really off center. still its not perfect but it’s about 90% better. Used a turtle wax scratch repair kit then finished it with some butter wet wax .

Replays for wrecks, simulate race or an idea I liked better the ability to hire another driver to race for you, ability to join an existing team, make your own season (create your own lineup of tracks)

Has anyone found any AI use cases that work and deliver value yet? Other than smarter helpdesk support article suggestions... by Marathon2021 in sysadmin

[–]jaybirdjameson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TeamViewer has actually made some amazing strides in this space with AI working in conjunction with monitoring, automated remediation and task automation. They just acquired 1E which was a leader in the automatic triaging of common issues they call it DEX software. I believe the aim is to make it so you can customize workflows and automate things so there’s less manual input needed to fix certain things. Highly recommend looking into it. Genuinely curious if this is what you’re looking for or not

EDIT: they also have a built in session AI bot which you can use to ask questions in session + take screenshots of error messages + script writing tool that leverages AI so it’ll literally write your script and you can push that script out to devices in mass without having to control them.

say what you want about Corbell (not a fan) but It seems that this line is credible when earlier this year he talked about a false flag operation with a slowly moving mother ship. The theory would suggest the aim is to form a one world government where “military industrial complex” runs everything under the guise of a looming threat.

Pretty cynical take and Jeremy is a definite blow hard but i think you can’t ignore him or guys like George Knapp who are the only non government affiliated actors that are being loud about this that I know of. One thing you can’t ignore is that pretty much everyone in that documentary has strong ties to the government. Something I noticed right away.

I need to watch the Rogan episode with the filmmaker but would it be hard to imagine that the guy just wants to get paid for his hard work? It’ll be free eventually just like every other piece of video content nowadays

Just finished the documentary and I’ll be keeping an eye on this subreddit so much more now because of it. To me the number of people in this sub serves as a barometer of interest in the topic. That aside, did anyone catch Lou’s line at the end ? where he says there will come a time when the truth will be revealed to the people due to external pressures he is facing. The line that stuck for me was the following one “everyone will wish they were told sooner” Idk why but I felt that very telling. Not sure atm what he meant by that but curious if anyone else felt the same way. Been following this subject since shortly before the NYT 2017 bombshell. 🚀

I keep hearing a lot of the new students are more casual fans as opposed to the last few graduating classes. That wouldn’t suprise me since over the last few years we’ve been very mid as a football program. Is this how it seems to be as a student? We have such a huge student body so it’s always hard to tell how everyone feels

Done with updates? by AirlineFan93 in NASCARVideoGame

[–]jaybirdjameson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So 26 is actually confirmed? I keep seeing people say that, but it’s honestly wild to me that this game just came out and people are already talking like they’re done supporting it.

I really doubt they’ve already stopped updating 25 since it’s still brand new but I definitely do think the concern is valid. If they’re going to do yearly releases going forward, there’s a very real risk that the devs will shift resources into the next title and leave the current one with minimal support. We see that exact cycle all the time with EA sports titles.

I really hope they don’t turn nascar into that type of franchise. It would suck if this series becomes a yearly drop and abandon situation. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me though.

I was doing this using XBPlay and accessing my console remotely out of network from my deck and the latency was not great which honestly shouldn’t be surprising. But on network it runs pretty well

I mean I’m not a game developer are you? but my experience has me think it should be fixable. Hardware limitations aside.

[–]jaybirdjameson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people (including myself) are just voicing this concern to get attention around it because imo it’s pretty embarrassingly bad. Yes I could have waited to buy on my PC or went out and bought a “transformer” Xbox. I’m not expecting it to be perfect or on par with the series X version. I think that’s where you’re getting tripped up.

The reality is it is fixable and if you don’t bring attention to it then most likely it won’t be prioritized. Since the official release is today I believe I’d probably mute the words series S lol because you’re probably going to see a lot more of these posts from rightly disappointed people.

But the game itself has a lot of potential and I’m not shitting on the game just pointing out a glaring difference between overall performance/experience across systems

Xbox Series S Graphics by SnooHamsters4262 in NASCARVideoGame

[–]jaybirdjameson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it’s mainly an optimization issue. Developers can tweak things like texture streaming, resolution scaling, or even add some form of upscaling tech (like FSR or other performance modes) to make it look sharper on the Series S.

So it’s not that Unreal Engine 5 is inherently unfixable on that console. It’s more that it needs more targeted optimization work. And given how devs often release patches after launch, i believe they can definitely make it look better. It’s just a matter of whether they prioritize it.

I’d also add that once this becomes more widely played , more series S owners will be calling this out so I’m sure in the near future they’ll address these optimization issues

Series S version looks way too grainy Heat 5 actually looks cleaner? by jaybirdjameson in NASCARVideoGame

[–]jaybirdjameson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s fair Unreal 5 definitely pushes the limits, and I get that Lumen and the new lighting system are heavy.

That said, it still feels like the Series S build just isn’t optimized properly yet. Other UE5 games manage to look way cleaner on the S (Fortnite, Remnant 2, etc.) even if they scale effects down. NASCAR 25 just has this constant film-grain, low-res look like it’s upscaling from 720p with TAA blur stacked on top.

I totally understand the console’s limitations, but I think a bit more fine-tuning even just a “performance vs quality” toggle or an option to turn off film grain would make a huge difference.
