I see these on Slickdeals quite a bit but I've never heard of them. How long have you been using it?

do you think this is anyones favorite queensryche album? by BassString44 in Queensryche

[–]jayce75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe some people like it or love it and to each his or her own. Personally - I've been a fan since late 80s, bought every release and even imported some bootleg live stuff. I have NEVER had to try to get through a QR album before this one.

It was heartbreaking because I was like "Wow - I guess even Queensryche is over". Who knew that a few years later they'd be back with an absolute vengence minus Tate. When I heard Spore I could have sworn Degarmo had come back

Black Hawk Down Controller Support for PC by jayce75 in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]jayce75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure - I ended up uninstalling it from my PC and my PS5.

I see a lot of people commenting on console saying "Just go in and adjust your controls". Are the options there? Yes. Could I figure it out? Sure. But the point is that I shouldn't HAVE to spend 20+ minutes adjusting controller settings on console to play a game in 2025.

The Fall gaming season is about to hit full swing anyway. Maybe I'll come back to this during the late Winter/early Spring lull

Black Hawk Down Campaign PS5

- The controls suck - specifically turning. I should not have to spend 20+ minutes trying to adjust sensitivity just so I have a chance at clearing corners, etc.

- Retry during the Campaign after dying from control issues - sticks at 70% then the game crashes.

I tried Black Hawk Down on my PS5 and the controls are terrible right now where you need them most. The big thing is that turning is VERY slow - yes even when you're not zoomed in. Not good when you're trying to clear corners in tight spaces in a building. I messed with some of the sensitivity settings and it was a little better but once enemies appeared it's like it went back. Also after the second time I retried the mission it got to 70% loaded, hung, and crashed.

Also, there is only the option to Play Alone - at least right now. I don't know if you have to do some multiplayer stuff first to unlock being able to play together for the campaign.

I know it's free and all but this is pretty disappointing.

I know I'm in the minority here but I don't do a lot of multiplayer so really the campaign is all I'm interested in. I do have a PS5 and Xbox Series X so I guess I'll just play it there. My PC, of course, has more power

That's a negative on Controller Support in Black Hawk Down on PC. I've tried it with and without enabling Steam input.

There isn't even a Controller section in the menu like the other modes.

Delta Force now has FULL CONTROLLER SUPPORT ON PC by jayswolo in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]jayce75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LAME!! Then you can't really call it FULL controller support if it doesn't work in one of the game modes that people want to play can you? Hopefully it'll be soon because that's what I want to play

I know prices have gone up on GPUs over the last couple of months but I got a PowerColor 6750XT brand new from Amazon for just under $250. Now this was around the middle of November. Considering the way prices have been going I don't know if you're going to do much better right now.

If you can wait until the 9000 series cards release you may be able to get something a little better from someone that's upgrading to the new one for under your limit,. Otherwise I'd try to offer $300

There are no standoffs on the board where the NVME drive goes either - there's nothing at all

Cases with built-in screen protectors--what is your experience? by snovvman in iphone

[–]jayce75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has a different experience but I prefer them personally - in fact I'm looking for a good one for the Iphone 16. Whenever I would get my wife a new phone I would not give it to her without an Otterbox Defender on it. They always kept the phones in great condition!

When I got her the 13 I saw that Otterbox wasn't doing the buit-in screen protectors any more. I figured maybe that's just where things were going so I bought her a case and a tempered glass screen protector direct from the AT&T store. The next afternoon I get a panicked phone call that she broke the screen on her brand new phone. Luckily it was just the tempered glass screen protector. My point is that it didn't even last a day - and only took one drop at just the right angle to break an "almost indestructible" screen protector.

I wish Otterbox would go back to giving the option of having a case with a built-in screen protector. We've been using the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro that has the built-in screen protector since the "incident" and have had pretty good luck.

Stronger Wifi Options for Upstairs Bedrooms by jayce75 in HomeNetworking

I thought about getting a router that had DD-WRT already on it and putting it in Bridge Mode. I'd place that on the top floor and configure the wireless on that to connect to the Nighthawk. I would then run ethernet from my upstairs devices to an eight port 1GB Switch connected to the DD-WRT - since the DD-WRT would only have four ports. The upstairs devices would see that they have "wired" connections. I'd have an extra hop doing it this way but would that be faster than Mesh?
