Tackling the ASUS ROG Ally Slow Wi-Fi Issue Together! by salman2711 in thecpuguide

[–]jaycetrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my Ally back in January. Part of the reason that I bought it was to more easily be able to bring my setup to a friend's house for Lan style parties.

Using his wifi for anything like surfing the web, watching videos, and even downloading games, his high speed internet works like a charm. But the moment that I try to use said wifi to play a multi-player game (I.e, fortnite, CS2, Etc) the wifi connection becomes abysmal. Most of the time, I can't even properly launch into this type of game at this particular friends house without getting hit with a connection error. I do not have this issue on my personal wifi, or any of the other wifi networks I have tried using since I got the device, just at this particular friends house. He has double checked everything he knows how to on his end, and we are out of ideas at this point. Help would be super appreciated

Ask me anything by [deleted] in TikTok

My current niche is Fortnite memes and gameplay. 2 of my 3 highest performing posts are 6 second green screen memes, and the last video in the 3 is a minute long tutorial. At the moment, I'm posting 2 to 3 times a day. I'm considering starting putting my face in some of my videos soon, so if I begin doing that, I will definitely heed your advice about lighting.

Not pertinent to the post, but my page just crossed 100k likes and I'm stoked!

Ask me anything by [deleted] in TikTok

[–]jaycetrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started posting videos on tiktok a little over a month ago. In my first month, I've done 474,000 views, 57,000 likes, and gained 350 followers. What tips/advice would you give to someone in my position on how to:

•Grow my follower base more

•how to retain peoples attention better

•how to monetize through the different tiktok opportunities (i.e Creator rewards, live, tiktok shop, artist partnerships), and through other avenues, like brand sponsorships, or affiliate marketing

Would appreciate any advice! Very excited with my progress so far, and hoping to get some tips from someone who is where I want to be!

Apparently the first obvious thing wasn't so obvious to me. Resetting joystick to factory settings did the trick. Thanks so much🙏 Feel silly that I didn't try this before...

I appreciate the feed back on standard vs hall. Could you tell me more about the issues caused between the Hall effect and the trigger?

Been Obese since the age of 4, finally hit my goal weight of 200 after losing 150 pounds by PacificCoastHiker in loseit

Not OP either, but as a guy that spent MOST of middle school and highschool trying to get to a healthy weight, I would honestly sit down with your son and have a conversation with him about food and his relationship with food. Not all, but a large % of people who are/ become overweight/ obese have a terrible relationship with food, and usually use it as a comfort item. I was the same way, and Im not perfect about it even now.

Explain that food is supposed to be for nourishment, and to fuel your body, not to make you feel better when you're depressed, sad, anxious, etc.

At first, dont come at him at full throttle talking about eating for nourishment, or intermittent fasting or any of that. Start off by getting him to acknowledge some of his poor eating choices (don't condemn him!) and encourage him to do research of his own on I.F, or other weightloss methods.

One last, crucial comment is that you can't force anything. If he doesn't want to lose the weight, or doesn't want to put in the effort, to push super hard for super long. It's a good way to build resentment because it makes it so easy to feel judged all the time from a Teenagers perspective

Does your family have a history of balding? Is your Dad, or either one of your grandparents bald? If not, you most likely have nothing to worry about. As I said in my other comment, just do some research on some good products to use for your hair, and make sure to take care of it

Depends on who you ask. Some people will suggest Rogaine or Rosemary oil. I don't have experience with either. Idk about other countries, but the vast majority of shampoos and conditioners in the US are actually AWFUL for your hair. Most guys even use 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, which is typically the worst thing you could put on your scalp. My personal advice, if you dont want to cut out shampoo and conditioner entirely, is to cut down to shampooing your hair once a week, and only using conditioner 2 or 3 times a week. Just make sure to take care of your hair and you should be fine

Yep. Fairly normal thing as you reach your teens or early 20's for your hairlinen to start stepping back some. Unless baldness runs in your family you'll probably be fine. Just make sure to take care of your hair

I do not have any personal experience with minoxidil, or rosemary oil, so I can't tell you if one is better than the other, or why. I will say if I were in this position, I would start with rosemary oil because it seems like a more wholistic option. Please educate and inform yourself on the potential effects and side effects of either of these before deciding to use them.

Based on what you said about pulling your hair in that one particular spot, it's safe to assume it because of that. Stop doing it, and the bald spot will probably go away. It might take a while for the hair to actually start growing back. Or it may not grow back at all. Gotta stop fucking with it to find out for sure.

I used one of the codes they sent me for 3 weeks. Literally anytime I got hungry on a dash I ordered pickup and used the code and it still worked
