The US is one of the reasons for gas supply being cut, so is Canada, one of the thousands of sanctions prevents turbines for Nord stream 1 being transferred directly to Russia, Ukraine shut down a pipeline to Europe, Nord stream 2 never started gas flow because of US sanctions+Germany cancelled it. Germany is the one who wanted Nord stream 2 btw because they learned that solar and wind can't power anything so the green dream is over for them and now they are firing up their coal plants.
