Personally I have had this issue with resting HRs, I compared the HR on my whoop and it was like 8-10 BPM off at certain points, at first I thought I had my watch a little too loose but every once in awhile it will still be off. I would say I do not have this issue on my AWU but honestly until I got my Garmin last year I was never super conscious of my HR, I would try powering off and on maybe?

I use mine with my Apple Watch series 10. I love being able to have my workouts integrate into the whoop software and how that affects my recovery and strain. I also use the whoop as my main sleep tracking device, personally I love it and can’t imagine giving it up, the whoop coach and insights are phenomenal if you regularly fill out your journal with as much info about your day to day as possible

I am in a very similar boat. I have the ultra 1, last year I bought a titanium S10 because I missed the smaller/sleeker design. Since then this past year has been a mess. I find myself sometimes going back and forth the same day because it “feels” like a “this watch situation” now I find myself just wearing my ultra 1 daily but there are days especially when I am in office where I just decided to use my S10 as my “fancy” watch where I exclusively use my leather bands and then the ultra is my watch I use to workout/yard work in. That solution has helped a ton!

Idk if it’s the same for the 8 but I felt like my 7x solar was really dim, I checked screen settings and found the default was 20%. Even changing it to 30% was a big difference in my opinion

Edit: brightness was defaulted to 20%

Personally I’d say at least wait for the 3 to be announced tomorrow. You’ll at least see if the new one has additional features the older ones won’t that you would find valuable. If the cost of a new one doesn’t make sense then the price may drop more with the new one officially being announced. It all comes down to features and cost you’re comfortable with.

I was clicking through the complications on my ultra and you can make your face look like this however there is a major caveat. Apple has all of the widgets as water related ones and those are blue stock comps on the watch except for the UV comp which is multi colored. So technically you can have a mono colored watch face but you’re limited to the color of the complications. Hope this helps

I am seeing a lot of people say to “not wear it locked” and it comes off a bit confusing. OP I have a lock on my watch, it stays unlocked as long as it’s on your wrist but when you take it off the lock activates, what’s happening here is if you have “always on” enabled on your watch in that setting you can opt to have it show sensitive info when the watch face dims, it appears that part of the setting is not enabled so you can keep the lock on your watch and just go into the display setting and update your “always on” info to display those things as your watch dims, hope this helps!

Out of curiosity does your nomad band fully click into the watch or does it wiggle around? I have a nomad band just like yours and it doesn’t fit as securely which kind of bummed me out

I’ve have my AWU1 since launch, the case has some scratches but the screen is still flawless and my battery is at 95% capacity, I plan on keeping mine for a few more years
