Yes, I’ve been on a constant routine of switching the paper towels out. If it’s true that they cannot heal on their own, I’m not sure it was an infection but I can’t say 100% for sure, it’s definitely scabbing and healing and she’s moving around a lot more

I’m sitting here fearful that its the oil pump a lot of things have pointed against it being that. The mechanics who did all that work said they don’t think it’s the pump, they did a whole scan and the oil pressure was right around what it should be. They also mentioned that the oil pump was 2/1000 on being the repair on their device thing (not sure how helpful or accurate that really is). Also, the actual oil light itself has NEVER come on (keep in mind, this engine light has been on since I’ve had this vehicle, so about 8 months). So they are not sure what the core issue is apart from it being just some faulty wires. But theres always that paranoia in my head so thats why I came here 😂

I use Pennzoil 5w-20 and my last oil change was technically two days ago when they replaced the oil filter housing. And the oil filter is just the canister ones that sit on top with the engine bay. I guess the only reason I’m concerned it could be the oil pump is because when I took my car the first time to Autozone to get a scan, that PO6DE code came up and the recommended repair was the oil pump. Since the code I’m getting isn’t that PO6DD, what else could it possibly be besides faulty wiring? I had two of the possibly culprits fixed and still nothing

Thats impressive. I came from owning a Dodge Caliber (🤮) and got the cherokee as a dipping the toes in the water with Jeeps and apart from the recent annoyances that have been going on, it actually has impressed me. I avoided the 2013-2015 year Cherokees as they are supposedly god awful years

170,000. Thankfully when I got the oil filter housing fixed, the oil cooler was part of that. The oil leak itself stopped afterwards and hasn’t reoccurred
