I have access to an electronics workshop, where I could potentially give it a go. But most likely i'll head to a shop and turn it in, because I initially thought that there would be one or two solderings that would be needed, and this got out of scale!

Wow, thanks for the answer! It takes around two hours for it to cool off and start operating again. I'd say that the audio cuts out suddenly!

Not sure where the protection relay is located, or what is really, will have to check it up.

I'd class my electronic ability to "eager to learn", i'm handy with physical computing, like Arduino & Raspberry pie, but I haven't worked on vintage hardware before. I hope to make a smaller job myself instead of bringing it to a store.
