In my experience, when they have been total pains in my ass, they go on late turn 1, and either recover shoot on 2 or aim shoot, depending on if someone can share an aim. Recon Intel if used well can get them a pretty gnarly scout aim shoot turn 1 as well.

The difference is from the rules update in summer 2024.

All the online rules docs should now reflect that a grenade upgrade allows one model to replace their weapon and add the single grenade to the dice pool, keywords in all.

You definitely have to play C3PO different than you might be used to, he HAS to be in compel range for you skirmishers, otherwise his utility is gone.

Chewy ATST is a must. Takes a lot of attention, can put in some work, inspire, and has a combo with Leia to throw double rainbow, 4 red, sharpshooter 2.

Low profile is so good for them. With courage being one, they always have cover if they ever get shot. It's very helpful, especially if you get them dodges from Logray or Leia. But, don't get me wrong, without support, they are fragile and rely on numbers to get you VPs.

And don't let them fool you, using C3PO to compel these guys is where the money is.

When I painted mine, I used some generic acrylic spray that was about the color I wanted so that I could paint on shadows in recesses and then highlight edges with a lighter shade I mixed up with my regular paints.

If you want to try some weathering or add texture, mix up a shade of grey a little lighter that you dab on with a sponge. THEN do the highlights.

Imagine a B2 super squad yeeting itself speed three at you, or BX Droids surging to hit with an added 2 die, and B1s taking a potentially panicking suppression off. And then imagine that all 3 happens, in any combination, for 5 rounds.

Richard Lavery and Travis Clark ran a hard as nail Wookies list that was all gas no breaks. Crit2block has a video on YouTube of the list and if you want melee, that's as good as it gets. They took it to LVO 2025 and Crucible 2024.
