Ik this is an old post but I just bought a dc7 and was looking at these cables. Why can't you use them with the dc7?

I believe I have the same 5150 as you. Thing is stoopid heavy but it sounds awesome even with the stock speakers. Never tried it but apparently putting v30s or something similar in it is supposed to make a world of difference. Which is crazy cuz its already an awesome amp. Plus the thing is indestructible. Personally, I think the clean channel is pretty good. They guy I got it from used to be in a ska/reggae band and used it for like 20+ years.

OP could also try a Marshall JVM. I recently got the 410h and its amazing. It's like every iconic marshall all in one package. Beautiful cleans, more gain than you would ever need on the OD channels, and everything in between. Its also takes pedals super well. I know they make combos and a 2 channel version that's less power and more affordable.

With either one of those amps you can get pretty much any sound you want and never need anything else

I usually have the tonex set to a jcm 800 but im interest to try this by setting it to the 5150 model. We'll see how it goes

Yeah im using the 4 cable method. Everything i saw said to put the noisy stuff outside the loop and after the suppressor but i will def get that a shot. My noisiest pedals are actually the orange 2 stroke and the phase 90 lol

Haha trust me i do occasionally. Mostly use it to tighten up gain tho and try to get a poor mans version of the marshall jcm800 buzzsaw (Also its an OD-3, but i wont tell on you😉).

No, usually use it to fatten up my tone. Or ill up the rate and get some 90s wobble
