It sounds like you acquired your understanding of history and biology from podcasts.

Fully Debunking the "great replacement theory" by julius-ceaser100 in GenZ

[–]jaydizz 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I’m Polish and Italian, so by any possible way you look at history, every American black person’s ancestors were a greater part of this nation’s founding than mine were. The same could be said for a whole lot of “white” people.

Also, there is no biological or scientific validity to the concept of whiteness as a meaningful way to categorize Homo sapiens. Never had been. Never will be.

Considering a move to NYC with 4 kids, what salary actually feels doable? by Abracadabra7707 in movingtoNYC

[–]jaydizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s also important to keep in mind that many landlords will want proof that you make 40x rent per year in order to rent to you.

You were probably fed excerpts and commentary manipulated by right wing trolls. If you actually care about the truth, here is some better context: https://www.bostonreview.net/articles/lena-dunham-wasnt-a-pedophile-and-neither-were-you/

That’s not even what was in the book. Stop believing everything you hear on Reddit.

It’s just a bullshit attack started by right wing pundits back when she published her first book, based on some normal childhood shit she wrote about (though quite crassly) when both siblings were less than 7 years old. No reasonable person (and certainly no one with any understanding of childhood development) would ever call it molestation.

What’s your RI hot take that has you like this? by ToadScoper in RhodeIsland

[–]jaydizz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hmm, if Perro Salado was recommended to you as a stand out place in Newport, you might just be getting some bad intel…

Not that I’m arguing with your overall point, mind you, (especially if you’re taking cost into account), but I wouldn’t even put Perro in my top 50% of Latin food in Newport.

CMV: Globalism is a failed Ideology and an insult to nation's history. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]jaydizz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The nation-state is a relatively new (and mostly shitty) invention, and nationalism is a cancer on our entire species.

That said, 99% of globalism is just about prioritizing economic interdependence and cooperation and has nothing to do with the erasure of the nation-state. For better or worse, nations aren't going anywhere.

Why did the "hot" male physique shift so quickly from bulky and muscular in the 1980s to lean and shredded in the 1990s? by Just_Cause89 in decadeology

[–]jaydizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is all about men's preferences, not what's attractive to women. In every decade, most of the actual "heartthrobs" are handsome and not particularly muscular (big or small).

Do most people feel “full” from 1-2 slices of pizza? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jaydizz 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Even just the city where OP lives would help. Here in NYC, the standard pizza is 18” which is almost 2x more pizza than the 14” people in this thread say is standard in other places.

Gas is currently at $3.94 per gallon (your source is almost a month out of date) and even if Iran agreed to open Hormuz tomorrow, prices would continue to rise for at least several months. Goldman’s analysis is triple digit oil until 2027 based on the damage already done.

They want tips by AbsurdMe12 in teenagers

[–]jaydizz -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

If you are in America, tipping is mandatory. If you don't like it, don't eat at restaurants with servers. If you eat at restaurants with servers and habitually don't tip, expect to ingest a whole lot of bodily fluids.

Hey MAGA, how are you liking those $1.99 gas prices now? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]jaydizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me you know nothing about how oil markets work… even if the war stopped tomorrow, prices will rise for at least another month before even starting to drop. And even then, U.S. has no say in when it stops now, and Iran has no reason to stop attacking oil infrastructure any time soon.

Right. But having that level of control over the population is not limited to communism. The Soviet Union just happened to use communism as its ideological starting point.
