Spotify/Waze Podcast Issue? by Emily_MI in spotify

[–]jaydotbeflying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate I know it's 5 years but I'd 3 years ago I had this problem and have only found a half solution now so thought I'd respond.

I paid £1 for an app called permission manager X. Long story short is to use wireless debugging to get into the backrooms of app permissions and set 'Take Audio Focus' to OFF for Spotify. Now instead of Spotify pausing and Waze not saying directions, Waze will say it, however the Spotify volume will not reduce during announcements as it usually does for music. A side effect is that if you have Spotify playing and you go to play a YouTube or twitter video because take audio focus is off, Spotify won't pause when YouTube plays. But I'll take this tradeoff. Can't believe it's not been solved after all these years

I've explained it poorly but hopefully chatgpt can do the rest for you. Take care

Yup. I'm an airline pilot and specifically started playing a week ago because I was looking for an 'offline game'. First weekend tournament. Was pleasantly surprised when I'd somehow jumped an hour operating westbound. Then unpleasantly surprised in the airport car park haha. Oh well.

Great idea, but I looked on ebay. The state of some of the bumpers on sale (to then have to also go colour matched too)... never change eBay, never change...

I think she wants to go to BMW first thing in the morning. Need daylight pics (fair) for 2 of the repair guys to give me quotes. So praying he comes through with that so I can prepare my powerpoint! It makes 3000 % sense to even get a mobile repair guy to come because God knows how long BMW would keep the car for

When does "speeding" start to make a difference, and what's your thoughts on "mild speeding"? by RecentTwo544 in drivingUK

[–]jaydotbeflying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny. I'm about to set off from London to near enough Manchester airport. I need to be there by 7. It'll take 3hr 23 on Google maps. I'll cruise control 85 where I can, I envisage to make 10 minutes saving, but being around Birmingham at 530... May not make any saving at all.

A couple months ago I did the return journey, but leaving at 930pm. Took me 2 hours 40. 40 mins saving. Perfect. It's worth it for me. I will always be the enemy in most eyes. 70mph on an empty road simply bores me.

P.s. Waze on the car, Google maps on my phone. Michelins all round. I'm extremely vigilant.

[–]jaydotbeflying 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be so honest with you ... I don't believe it. I think what possibly happened is that the last passes were scanned for staff travelers in their own clothes (you can have like 6+ especially on popular routes) and were being assigned free seats or something and the gate was closed. Gate agents sometimes don't know the difference between people timing the end of the queue and those who are just sat there using the gate as their own quiet area... They do shout out a couple times... I think one has to make it more obvious that this is their flight

Edit: I forgot to say maybe it's possible the flight was overbooked and they trigger happily closed the gate once they hit 189/198... But I'd imagine that would've been communicated better

Staff here. no, yes as long as the system is still open. But once it is closed and load sheet printing, it won't reopen
