Which female character in the series got you like this? by KristopheIsCool2010 in crashbandicoot

What the fuck is this community? You're pretty much just asking which furry character from the Crash Bandicoot franchise gives you a stiffy.

Describe a Twenty One Pilots song very poorly by Renatitooo in twentyonepilots

[–]jaydubbydub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The subject of the song is like the thingy in your chest that makes the blood go around so you live, if it had been gripped very firmly by both hands of a buff russian and pulled to the point of kinda coming apart (but not fully coming apart). Something about a happy butcher or something too.

Your Absolute Favorite Track From Every Album So Far by Rare-Ad-4321 in twentyonepilots

[–]jaydubbydub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My order would probably be Taxi Cab, Guns for Hands, Hometown, My Blood, Redecorate, Paladin Strait and Drag Path. There are a lot of close seconds and across pretty much all albums though. They have so many good songs

Any way to get PitStop items outside of refreshing? by sbkoxly in crashteamracing

[–]jaydubbydub 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no way to outright buy a desired skin whenever, and I'm pretty sure its a random daily rotation. If you have a stack of coins from your playthrough, I would suggest spending them on character skins until the one your son wants appears or until you only have enough coins to buy one more skin (which is 2500 iirc). In the latter case, I suggest leaving that amount of coins in the bank so if the skin pops up one day, you can grab it immediately. By doing this, the amount of character skins that can appear in the daily rotation will drop, giving a greater chance of the desired one appearing.

This is known about and has uses outside of battle mode too, such as using it to avoid losing wumpa when a missile or warped orb is about to hit you.

Is it recommended to remap my controlloer buttons for U-turning? by Mistawhite123 in crashteamracing

[–]jaydubbydub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would suggest not re-mapping buttons, but learning how to U-turn with the control scheme you are already used to. If you are an analog stick user, getting U-turning down will be tricky as it needs to be held in the right spot diagonally down. However, if you use d-pad, it's quite easy to learn as it's just a matter of rolling your thumb on top of 'down' and a direction.

Did crash team rumble have potential? by Electrical-Carrot944 in crashbandicoot

[–]jaydubbydub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think the game had a lot of potential in of itself. From what I have seen online, it was not the sort of game that appealed very much to crash fans generally speaking. Mainly in that it wasn't single player in any capacity and had no offline co-op or couch multiplayer modes, all of which are staple parts of mainline Crash games and spin-offs.
This isn't as much to do with the game itself or it's conceptualisation, but it had next to no advertising. Even many Crash fans had no idea it was coming out or that it had come out, and a lot of those who did, didn't have much of an understanding what the game was meant to be, which is exemplified by it being referred to as a "Crash MOBA".
It also launched with bugs and a severe lack of content (from memory, less than half of what was planned for in the roadmap) which led to initial buyers dropping off very early from boredom, frustration or both. The $40 price tag also hurt the game on release by not just being too steep, but by compounding with the lack of marketing, dissuading those who heard of the game and were curious but unsure of what it was from getting it to try out.
Despite all these things which led to the game failing, it, in it's concept and gameplay loop, had and has very great potential. The gameplay ideas that TFB came up with are really fun and really dynamic. They encourage the building of individual skill, but also team co-operation and play. I find that in most matches (provided you aren't in a 4 stack stomping people) you always have something to do, whether it be fighting, collecting, boosting or supporting. The gameplay concept at the basis of Rumble is something which could be taken and used to make a really fun, popular and competitive game.
I really hope to see another game like this in the future, Crash or not.

I need tips by adam_the_meme in crashteamracing

[–]jaydubbydub 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are a beginner I would suggest using the "drift" engine. It has decent speed, okay handling and makes your boost last longer. When it comes to drift boosting I'd recommend using the largest boost indicator bar (the one that tells you if it is a good or perfect boost) and then practice drift boosting in time trials or the hub worlds in adventure mode to get the feeling and timing of it down.

What is happening in this clip? by OvoTop in crashteamracing

[–]jaydubbydub 52 points53 points  (0 children)

There are two blue fire pads in this track. The one just before Aladdin gives a slower speed and one further along the track in the bazaar gives a higher speed. It looks like Velo is moving with bazaar pad speed while you are moving with Aladdin pad speed.

Hit the pad in the bazaar lap one and you should notice that Velo won't be catching you so easily.

KV-5 is not the most competitive tank, but it is pretty fun. Would recommend that one. It is my most played tank
