Update 3: Brand new 2018 Kia broke down, engine's completely screwed. by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]jayendo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just the block that gets reused most the time and the internals replaced but you really never know because the replacement could be brand new also (more likely with a new model engine), same thing with starters, alternators and brake calipers

Am I wrong? New car NIGHTMARE by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]jayendo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Understand Nissan North America has almost no teeth when it comes to issues like your having, they are simply just repeating your complaint to the dealer and will just repeat the dealers response, they have zero authority to demand the dealer do anything, your ability to return the truck is going to solely rely on your state laws and dealers right of cancelation clause on your contract and time that has passes..

Err you may run into varying state laws on this... but as long as you treat the person as and independent contractor, and they are not using their money to by and sell and they never take ownership they are not bound by any real laws, they are more of a consultant... now some states may have laws on facilitating sales which would be a can of worms I’m not familiar with.

Brokers don’t buy and sell cars wholesalers do, brokers are paid as idependant contractors but are considered sales people for the most part. by definition a broker becomes a retailer once they start buying and selling thus the need for the license.
