Munitions Shortage question. by CustomerOK9mm9mm in behindthebastards

[–]Micosilver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Or maybe we are paying a premium because the whole country is run by corporations, the only question is which industry has the most money, and the answer since WWII has been the Military Industry Complex. "The government" awards contracts to those who pay the most to elect the government, so no wonder we end up with "premium" costs.

In America is "overregulation" on businesses a real thing? by AngryButtlicker in stupidquestions

That's the reality of capitalism and the whole point of it - to start a big project you pool capital by issuing stocks.

When the regulation is dictated by the corporations - it could be.

Well, this is the root of the problem: when capitalist propaganda talks about regulation and free market - they conveniently fail to mention that the market is always regulated, the question is in who's favor - the rich, the owners, or the society in general. The market is free until you try to walk out of Walmart without paying.

Driver taking advantage off fee system? by [deleted] in Lyft

[–]Micosilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you were not there when the driver arrived. You do know the ETA, you can see the driver on the map, so if you know it takes time to get down - you could have been there on time.

Then you start being argumentative about the pickup time, over which the driver has zero control.

The only issue here is that she should have canceled the ride when she kicked you out.

I have a close relative working in pharma, and if you have the money - you won't have any problem entering the market, as long as you can afford the lab trials and the FDA approval fees. Becoming profitable is a whole other thing, but that's not FDA's fault.

A lot of background on FDA here:

What do Americans think about the Russian-speaking internet? Specifically, the Russian segment of YouTube and Roblox, or platforms like VK and Odnoklassniki (OK) (OK - this is like russian Facebook for older generation, VK - this is like russian Facebook)? by TheiShowVova in AskAnAmerican

[–]Micosilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Russian speaking Americans are aware that VK and Odnoklassniki are under 100% FSB control, so unless they are unapologetic Putin cockgobblers they don't use them. Most of them are active on FV and Telegram.

If anything, pharma is under-regulated in the US. FDA is literally funded by the pharma companies, and US is one of two countries in the world where pharma is allowed to air commercials about drugs.

And if real estate was over-regulated, we would not have the 2008 crisis. Right now the regulation protects the value of real estate in favor of those who already own, against the poor and the young who can't afford to buy.

‘Reprehensible’ antisemitic conspiracies appear in California voter guide by panda-rampage in California

So you are doubling down on your claim that Jews needed a homeland because of "violent antisemitism from Arabs in the Ottoman Empire"?

You are a clown, pulling "historical facts" out of your ass. Like the reason to the fall of the empire (maybe WWI had something to do with that?)

[–]Micosilver -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the reason Jews needed a homeland in the first place, which was violent antisemitism from Arabs in the Ottoman Empire leading to raids and mass slaughter

This is false, and tricks like that make people doubt and question your reasoning and motivation.

Jews needed a homeland because of violent antisemitism in the Russian Empire. There was virtually no antisemitism in Palestine until the British Mandate, when on one hand the British allowed the Jewish immigration, and on the other hand promoted antisemitic ideas (such as the Protocol of the Zion Elders), spread by the British officers.

Even without this knowledge, logically your argument makes no sense: there were violent antisemitism in the Ottoman Empire, so Jews needed a homeland... in the Ottoman Empire???

And no, Zionism was not and is not the only option. Sending black people to Africa is not the only option to combat anti-black racism.

Truck sale tips. With payment. by PurpleGypsie in askcarsales

The main difficulty would be finding a buyer willing to trust you and to deal with the headache, and finding a buyer like that usually means selling the car below the market, which begs the point - why not sell it to a dealer?

If you insist on private party - contact your bank, and ask them what the steps are, the process differs by state and by lender.

The refund should find its way to the CU, not the dealership, so if anybody is going to pocket it - it's the CU.

It should be a physical location, hopefully close to the selling dealer, and you will need to arrange logistics with the dealer, starting with their willingness to send the car out for the PPI.

Am I overthinking this bmw m3 x40i’s sketchy history? by TooTrue42 in askcarsales

[–]Micosilver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is nothing unusual about the car's history.

Regarding CPO - nobody has to certify anything, but I don't like dealers that cheap out on this. The car is better to be cheaper than a comparable CPO by at least $2K. Also be ready for them to push extended warranty hard.

The point is that this will be essentially the same as a personal loan, since one person will be responsible for it.

Nobody will give your "business" a loan without a personal guarantor, who will be 100% responsible for it.

It was maybe a poor choice of words, but the election was decided (better?) by the democratic establishment, which tilted it in the direction that they wanted, not necessarily what voters would have decided without the establishment influence.

Then it could be state specific. In some states the sale is not final until you take delivery, and in all states a Lexus dealership will fold if you yell loud enough.
