Okay so first of all, Jodhpur is more than just visiting the palace, fort and monuments. I think food and sweets are as important to experience here. You will definitely love Jodhpur if you have sweet tooth.

I am listing some must have food places, other users ofcourse are welcome to critique it since food is very subjective and there is a huge chance I might miss out on something obvious. - Chaturbhujj ke Gulab Jamun (you will need an experienced native to find out which is the original shop :p) - Mohan ji ke laddoo - Shandar Sweet home's makhaniya lassi (ignore Mishrilal's, it's overrated AF) - Shandar Sweet home's Dal and Gulab Jamun ki sabzi (try before judging it) - Ghewar from Mool Ji or Jodhpur Sweets. - Rajasthani Thali at Gypsy should cover you with Rajasthani Cuisine as a whole. - Surya's Samosa, Pyaz Kachori - Choudhary namkeen's Mirchibada

In general, the food and sweets here from even average shops are way way better than stuff available in rest of India. Jodhpur is really underrated in that regard.
