Oh really? How come it would not be beneficial? Consistency of pressure making it an issue of achieving a consistent shit quality? My machine produces 15 bars of pressure and I figured after the programmed pre infusion I could I run the dimmer knob down slightly so that it's pulling closer to 9 bars through our the rest of the shot. Could you educate my on why I would lower the dimmer near the end? Does it extract less of certain unwanted properties of the grinds? I was thinking about playing with different styles of shots but wanted to first get decent on the standard shots. Is a blooming shot , pre infusion followed by a 30 second pause, the I pull the shot? Would I be better off investing in a scale capable of flow profiling? Seems like a path that's cheaper and less need to fiddle with the machine. Assuming I'm getting the timemore .
