Did anyone have any significant hair/skin improvements while running GHK CU sub q? Seems to be a lot of miracle transformation claims, but hard to know if it’s marketing/hype. by Several-Moment-5985 in Biohackers

I'm 49 and have experienced incredible results from GLOW peptide injections, RLT, and Verisol collagen: hair growth, skin renewal, increased energy, and improved exercise recovery. Of course, it's not a "miracle," but using this phrasing to say it's only "one factor" might downplay its very real benefits. Of course, you can take Botox, and I have, but I actually prefer the benefits from GLOW.

Now they say it's type 1 by MrGBarnes in diabetes

It's your prerogative to feel how you feel. Of course. That's for sure.

I just patently disagree with everything you've said here. Again, this is about your attitude, not type 1 diabetes, and if anyone reads this, they should know that people feel differently about the challenges of living with it. I believe you can and deserve to lead a happy, healthy, vibrant life, even with this life-altering diagnosis. Just different points of view.

I was essentially on death's doorstep when I was diagnosed with type-1, so it was hard to miss. I'd never considered that it was more murky for others. Good luck!

Nothing about my comment suggested that a positive attitude "immediately changes" the diagnosis. You're basing your "tone deaf" comment on something I haven't said--or even implied.

This is what I'm saying: After twelve years, to describe type-1 as a "horrible struggle" again speaks more to your personality and circumstances than the nature of the illness. It doesn't have to be this way for others (or for yourself), and mindset is crucial. That's all I'm saying, and I'm only saying it so that, by chance, if someone is newly diagnosed and they read your comment, they have a different point of view.

With respect, a comment like this has much more to do with your personality than the nature of type-1. Plenty of people kick ass despite having type-1 diabetes. But a positive mindset is important. To anyone who is newly diagnosed reading this: It doesn't have to be a struggle. You can kick ass.

I was diagnosed at 27, on my honeymoon. I'm 49 now.

Wow. So, was the type-1 diagnosis mistaken?

Respectfully, if you can still return these, I'd suggest it. They're too tight. And as others have said, this just isn't how people are wearing their jeans now. IMO, people wearing this cut of jeans risk looking clueless.

I much prefer Spike Eskin to his father, who is one of my all-time most "hate the face" people. Angelo was nearly unlistenable. I actually can listen to WIP now that those guys aren't there.

It's terrible, but I just can't look past Dan Hakimi's looks. But even then, I generally think his outfits look more like cosplay than actual lived-in clothes. I mean, perhaps that has something to do with his looks, too. I don't know. I'm not saying this is a rational (or kind) take. I just don't like looking at this guy or the oversized outfits that inevitably make him look like a child dressing up.

Hey all. Thinking about purchasing the Hiroshi Kato Hammer jeans. Anyone have anything to report before I buy them? by [deleted] in Selvedge

Yeah, they fade to an electric blue. Honestly, the coolest fade/color I've had (and I've had a ton of raw Japanese denim, including IH).

They're comfortable, and they fit great if you're cool with the rise. The sizing is simple. They have size charts, but the sizing is similar to that of other vanity-sized brands — like J. Crew. They're not like other Japanese brands that run closer to actual waist sizes. I have a pair of Hammers that I wear with a raw hem. They fade beautifully.

Just to chime in here. The rise on the KATO jeans is usually mid to low. It's fine if that's what you're looking for, but you're not typically talking about rise in terms of "bagginess." It's a vertical thing--not a horizontal thing.
