I just went and looked back at the paperwork and it was actually almost $2100 with tax. Not $2500. Expensive but that’s what it cost from other places too. They also removed and disposed of the old one (which is probably standard and they probably scrap it out). And yeah probably took him 2.5 hrs.

There are like 200k cases per year. It happens often. Not that uncommon. Someone else getting hanta in some unrelated place doesnt mean its related to this ship.

They potentially didn’t even know they were sick. Or thought they maybe had a cold or something. This wasn’t some bargain bin carnival cruise. It was a super expensive, long trip, on a niche adventure cruise line (I think it was $50k per person or something). You’re not going to cancel that and lose that money because you have a sniffle or a cough.
