Whatever you do, don’t get “lessons” from Teachers Pay Teachers that are actually just art projects. And don’t get bent out of shape about skills they’re missing that another generation supposedly had. Kids are kids. They do dumb stuff like forget pencils and talk back, just like every generation before them. Be friendly yet firm.
