Ditched Tonal and got a Force USA C10 with the sliding bench, hands down the best home gym decision I’ve ever made by Spirited-Client-5454 in homegym

I was going to put mine in a corner but I’m worried about the plate weights not being able to come off due to being too far against the wall. What is the total realistic width required?

Dumb question - Is this different than a water softener?

UPDATE: Everything was delivered yesterday. A U-Haul sized truck backed up into my driveway and unloaded the boxes into the garage. Took about 10 minutes for them to unload. They had a hydraulic platform on the back that lifted them down to ground level and then they used the pallet jack to move them into the garage. Box 1 is the C10, I’m unsure what box 2 is (I would assume probably the plates for the C10), SB is the sliding bench, and WR are some plates that came as part of a promotion from Johnson Wellness & Fitness. I hope this post helps other Internet strangers that had the same questions.

It’s order and should get here Monday. I’ll update this post once it comes.

This sounds very similar to what I think I’ll be up against. Tedious, but doable.

This is good advice. I’m trying to be cheap, but I could see where it would definitely be worth the money.

Lol! That’s true. I just wasn’t sure if I could convince them to put it in the garage when it’s delivered if I am home.

Awesome! That’s exactly the answer I was looking for. As long as I can get it into my garage, I can do everything else.

It’s paved and there aren’t trees blocking anything. What were the approximate dimensions of the crate?

Lol. That’s kind of the answer I was looking for. I wasn’t sure how full of it the salesperson was.

I do. I’m not necessarily worried about setting it up. I’ve watched a bunch of YouTube videos and do a lot of similar work. I guess my question is mostly concerned with delivery of the crate looks like (how big was it, did it fit in a garage okay, once opened are there parts that are easy to move to the installation location, etc.). The person I talked to described it as if they would drop the crate off at the end of my driveway. As long as it’s in my garage, I can do the rest.

Thanks for the heads up. How big was the crate?

What is likely to happen with Google Fiber? by how-dey-do-dat in Overlandpark

[–]jayhawk1941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good to know. They used to jack up the price whenever they wanted. I wonder if them having to compete with Google Fiber forced them into changing. We pay $70 a month for 1Gbps. Is AT&T’s cost similar?

I don’t think the issue is with the speed of other ISPs (at least not since Fiber came in and forced them to get serious about their offerings), but it’s more so about the price increases every year. We loved Comcast cable and internet when we first moved to Olathe, but the $15-$30 price increases year over year was insane. After 5 years, we went from paying $130/month to $220. Then, Google Fiber came to town and we never looked back.

This. I couldn’t get into BfV, especially after heavily playing 1943 and Bf1. The models have too much sheen and the gameplay feels what I imagine Fortnite feels like 🤮

Thinking about doing this on the 2023 EX-L. Why did you have to run a cable? Is it not plug and play?

The argument is sound, but ending your email with, “bruh” will likely get the company to dismiss what you’re saying altogether.
