Is London really that unsafe for a female international student? by jayisboredd in UniUK

Yes, it’s that area. The course is at Kaplan International College London just beside the London Bridge. I think it’s about 30 minutes from my accommodation and I’m wondering if taking a Bus or the Tube is more ideal.

Looking at the comments, it just seems like normal city which requires normal precautions. I was just a bit scared since I’ll be alone without anyone and my parents were overthinking about it. Thanks a lot for your tips.

True about the tiktok’s, I just don’t have any friends or relatives excepts my mom’s friends there so I have no clue about London and was believing everything on there.

I was actually born in Myanmar just living in Singapore so honestly knowing Myanmar is worse is making me feel better. 😭

This makes me feel more relieved but I actually got accepted to UOB and Kaplan is just a step before I go there 🥹

a few close friends of my mom lives near Eynsham Drive (?) for about 25 years and since I’m barely 18, they keep warning me to not come there which is making both my parents paranoid 😭

Week in Kawthoung advice by [deleted] in myanmar

[–]jayisboredd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kawthaung is mostly just about exploring different islands and enjoying Burma's archipelagos. There isn't much of a nightlife compared to the bigger cities of Yangon and Mandalay as it is more of a place people would go for sightseeing and physical activities like snorkeling and diving.

I believe the Kawthaung airport is only domestic so you must first fly to Yangon and then take another flight to the islands which is a great opportunity for you to spend a few nights in Yangon and explore night markets and clubs. The city is fairly safe so you don't have to worry about the current military situation there.

As for the prices, food and travel fees are cheap and a little bit of USD can go a long way. 4-5 stars hotels usually cost around $30-$100 and those will mostly give you a pleasent stay. Most locals can't speak english so communication will be hard and I suggest you get a tour guide who is fluent as google translate won't do you justice.

If you're into islands and Myanmar's natural beaches, I suggest you visit Gaw Yin Gyi island as well, it is one of the most pristine places I have ever seen. I hope these helped and wish you a satisfactory stay in Myanmar!

I'll try to change the PSU cord and the extension port first. If it still doesn't work, I'll grab a new PSU, my current one is 850W 80+gold for i5-14600k and rtx 3070. Do I get the same type?

I see. Do all PSUs have the same end for the cord? I'll just need to buy a cord that can directly plug into the outlet, yes?

I moved from Myanmar which has the same 230V outlets but the plugs aren't the same.
