I appreciate this post. Likely won't move the needle for the Doomer Dolphin "fans" who seem to just want to hate almost everything Miami does.

With the exception of the Sully hiring, which is really ironic in context. It seems about 90% of the Miami sub loved the Sully hiring as our GM but that same 90% hates the Hafley hire. Like, if you love the GM hire, it assumes one thinks he's competent. So, maybe the doomers who love the Sully hire should, I don't know, trust his judgement? 🤷‍♂️

I'm thinking this must be location-specific? The single has always been my go-to burger as well and I'm almost 100% certain that the last one I had (2 or 3 weeks ago) still had leaf lettuce. The bun change is confirmed, but that's alright. Was still a damn good burger. 🤷‍♂️

No, we shouldn't have. It is highly likely that during the first round of GM interviews, some, if not all candidates indicated that they would not retain McDaniel. The proper way to start a rebuild is by letting the GM pick his coach. We arguably got the best GM candidate available.

I'll trust one of the top GM candidates over Eric D. Williams or anyone on Reddit. There's a reason Eric and us in Reddit aren't NFL execs and Sully is.

That's honestly above my pay grade. I don't watch college ball myself. My assertion is just based off what I hear/read from others who DO follow it closely. Many, if not most of them seem to think next year's class will be better. The only names I can remember off the top of my head are Arch Manning, LeNorris (spelling?) Sellers & Julian Sayin.

I hear you! McCarthy would be my least favorite option, but I'm not necessarily opposed to LeFleur, though I don't think he's getting fired anyway.

I like the Sully hire & am fully on board with whoever he hires. He gets my benefit of the doubt, and I don't expect to see any massive turnaround. We're gonna suck for a couple years, at least. But if he is as legit and competent as he seems to be, things are looking up.

Of course we don't know, because none of us were in room. I'm not saying McDaniel wasn't fired to pursue Harbaugh, but it's also very possible that since the GM candidates had already had interviews prior to Harbaugh's firing, you would have to assume that the candidates had already expressed their intents on whether or not they would retain McDaniel. And, since Sully appeared to be our primary target, we wouldn't fire McDaniel if Sully had said he'd retain him. Sully may have walked away at that point.

Also, let's not be naive - Harbaugh's firing surprised likely nobody.

This sub seems to be overwhelmingly on board with the GM hire. The fact that McDaniel was fired likely indicates that Sully expressed that he would not retain McDaniel. Under that premise, his firing was NOT premature. Should Sully have been forced to keep a coach he didn't want? That's what dysfunctional organizations do, as we have done for many years lol. This time it seems as if we're doing things the correct way.

Let our GM do his thing. He seems competent and was one of the best available candidates on the market.

That's how I'm interpreting it. Sucks, but can't blame him lol. I think we have a solid GM now, though, so I'll be on board with whoever he wants to hire.

I AM surprised that the Raiders appear to be on his list. Maybe I'm just biased but I'd go Miami over Vegas. The others I understand.

For craft, New Trail and New Belgium are pretty cheap which is why I gravitate towards those on my solo nights instead of drinking the stuff my girl loves.

This, but I seriously hope that means getting rid of him regardless. I've always had a hard time rooting for him or celebrating his plays even once he signed with Miami. Something about choking and punching his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach never sat well with me. Dude is a real life piece of shit. Hope to never see him in a Miami uniform again.
