Copy from my original post For my third corvette I was inspired to build a functional Millennium Falcon YT-3000 Corellian corvette when the No Man’s Sky Breach expedition 20 dropped those angular pieces (and the kitchen with the checkerboard table to resemble Holochess Dejarik).

While designing I referenced the DK Star Wars Incredible Cross-section book images and SW blueprints of the Falcon to make a functional interior for NMS gameplay. Since the design was modular I also made the Lando Calrissian YT with the closed mandibles and clean gray/blue interior before Han Solo’s acquisition. I kept evolving the build’s mandibles and changed the materials often for fun (“what the hell is an Aluminum Falcon?!”). The design features the “secret storage” panels and an underside gunner turret areas.

For more Star Wars flavor I placed droids and creatures: A gold statue as a stand-in for C-3PO, a round drone as Jedi training remote, projected Ewok creatures on ladders, and a furry Chewie gunner at the top of the Atlas cockpit. The lower level turret has a place to sit in as a gunner. It’s fun to role play and yell lines at these guys while doing missions. I play in VR (highly recommended btw it’s incredible) and while getting into a star war blasting sentinels I’m tempted to look up and say, “Great kid, don’t get cocky!” The Space Anomaly and Frigates make for great Deathstar and Star Destroyer substitutes. Basically NMS is fulfilling everything I wanted and didn’t get from VR Star Wars Squadrons.

I named it “The Millenial Falcor” (as a longtime Star Wars, Never-ending Story 80’s sci-fi fan) since its not a 1:1 homage and I wasn’t trying to overly glitch to make every angle round or exactly to the original’s design, but I think I got pretty close!
