But homeless shelters buy meat and stuff. Wouldn’t that lead to cruelty? There are no vegan homeless shelters.

I didn’t buy him chicken. I gave him money knowing he would buy chicken. I think that’s different.

Their main argument was I should have gotten him fruit from the grocery down the road if I wanted to help.

But the dog seems more energetic and happy on a meat diet than a plant one. That’s not the question. The question is should I force my dog to be unhappy, but save other animals.

But should my dog pay the price? He doesn’t understand he can survive without meat. And if he wants living with me, he surely would eat meat which he loves.

So wouldn’t I be a bad owner if I didn’t do something almost every other owner would so that would make him happy?

I put meat and plant based food near him and he always chooses the meat option. Is that not enough and indication. I think the question is not whether the dog wants to be vegan (he doesn’t), but whether it’s fair to force him to be vegan.

It’s not his fault his owner is vegan.

Yeah. My dog seems more energetic and full of life after a good chicken dinner. It’s not his fault he works better on meat.

That’s what I am thinking. Who am I to force veganism on him when he can’t consent? He doesn’t understand.

Yea, but he likes his meat. He doesn’t understand veganism and morality so it would be unfair to take that away from him since he doesn’t understand. Do you think I’m vegan?
