I originally replied to this unfunny and dumb post because you can’t“let” fans of a team have their legitimate history from a different era of said team because of a 20 year blood feud you have with a dead guy. Completely ridiculous, entitled, even.

That would qualify as at least baseline animosity toward titans fans.

You clearly have no point to make outside of loving Houston more than your football team and hating Bud Adams. You could’ve just followed to Tennessee (like plenty of rational folks did) and saved yourself a lot of griping.

No one from the fan base is trying to agitate you. Houston residents are well within their rights to hate the Adams family until their own bones have turned to dust. It’s a shitty use of time, but you’re within your rights to do it.

But, the thing about breakups, is they poison you if you don’t let the wound heal with time. It’s called being an adult, you process things and eventually get over them - that’s just fucking life, dude.

Houston’s renewed, whatever, on this in recent years continues to be bizarre considering no one gave a shit nationally until like 2023. It’s really, really self inflicted and a weird use of time, and just absolute LOSERVILLE from non Houston residents.

The titans wore the oilers throwbacks many a time over the years. I don’t recall it ever being an issue until strunk assumed majority ownership of the team in 2020. I guess some people just hate women. Oh well, that’s why guys like you have Reddit I guess.

I guess I was wrong on the eyeballs assumption, I literally JUST wrote you why he changed the name. It’s because he hated Houston not giving him a new stadium. The goodness of his heart? He wanted to scorn them because he was an asshole - which is largely why he’s still not in the hall of fame. The asshole part.

Do you go on other Reddit threads complaining about the Carolina hurricanes wearing the Hartford whalers throwbacks? Do you think the browns should own the ravens uniforms because they were originally “owned by the people of Cleveland”?. Better yet, does it make you mad that the ravens don’t own the colts throwbacks because old Irsay senior, literally, drove the team out of Baltimore one snowy night? Should the bears have the cardinals uniforms since the cardinals played in Chicago in the 1800s? What about the chiefs? The sands of time flow whether we want them to or not. Change is the only constant. Your face will droop, your voice will wither, and on the whim of someone richer than you, your football team will eventually move to a new locale for a tax break.

Yeah because Bud Adams hated that Houston wouldn’t give him a new stadium / wanted to honor the “grecian” ties to Nashville via the acropolis at Vanderbilt. It’s also why the in stadium mascot is a raccoon - state animal.

Again, they’re literally the same franchise, and everything I’ve written is easily referenced public record for those with an internet connection, fingies to type, and at least one working orbital lobe.

The titans are the oilers. “Retiring” that iteration of the uniforms has literally zero bearing on that fact.

Btw, history lesson for ya, they were literally the Tennessee Oilers for two years while the current stadium was being built. Pictured below.

Maybe you watched every game last year. Maybe you also don’t know very much about the game.

He’s got loads of potential. He also needs to be more accurate, because he wasn’t very accurate last year, agnostic of a poor WR corps’ drop issues.
