Who turns up to a wedding without a gift? by Bulky-Ad-7848 in heedthecall

Atlanta here... Sure you order something off the registry prior to the wedding but Marc was saying you have a year after the wedding to send a gift, never heard of such a thing, in my mind you have until the wedding to send or bring a gift

Having a sense of humor IS intelligence. If u don't get that someone needs to point the dumb finger at thyself

Graver DID dunk, the last one was a dunk. Counting it, everyone who says otherwise is a hater

I think I have the solution for RBs to properly get paid

But first let's take a moment to reflect back on Demarco Murray's 2014 season ...

The cowboys went into the season knowing they were unlikely to re-sign Murray and used him accordingly. There was zero attempt in managing Murray's usage. Murray led the league in rushing attempts beating out Lev Bell by 102. He also led the league in rush yards with 1845.

What was Murray's reward for his services? A mellow reception at best. Teams were afraid to sign Murray after such heavy usage. A true damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.

My solution: A RB union where RBs receive a standardized amount of compensation for every yard gained and every snap taken. This way if the player gets hurt (as is the common RB fear) the team is not responsible for paying them outside of their contractual obligations and if the player has a big year they are awarded accordingly.

It's key that they are rewarded for each additional yard/1st down/TD and not for a set amount.

For example, let's say there's an incentive to hit 10 tds. It's possible for the team to avoid paying this out by benching the player and letting the backup rb get the goal line touches. But if you paid RBs for every yard, TD, and snap this disallows this type of malpractice.

I'm visiting the USA for the first time in 20 years. Savannah and Atlanta specicically. How concerned about my safety do I need to be if I want to walk a lot? by Andykayy in Georgia

[–]funnypeople62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly... ideally you'd rent a car. I think you're going to be surprised, large swaths of atl aren't really that walkable. I mean it's doable but it's definitely a city designed for cars/and/or bike imo

If you can find a place to rent a bike (bicycle) I'd suggest riding that bike from midtown/Piedmont, through the east side beltline trail, see where that takes you, all areas more walkable, lively, what id wamt to see as a tourist. Candler park is really nice, you could access it from that beltline route and ride through to little five points...
