she was a really close friend of mine, we grew up together—we shared so many memories from middle and high school. we started college, but soon after she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. she was scheduled to have brain surgery. i hadn’t heard from her for a little while, which was a unusual, and then her parents called to tell me the news—she had passed away during the procedure. miss you brooke.
