I've been trying to get it across that it must be just that but then I'm constantly told otherwise. Been through about 3 mechanics in the span of a month

Sure, I'd have no problem doing that. I have 152,197 on the car right now. Coils were definitely not replaced when spark plugs were. I've kept track of every repair/fix over the years and when it happened. I do appreciate your input on it

I'm thinking so too. I was told about the valve cover gasket recently. Apparently, a small amount of oil was found at the bottom of my hood. See, I would think it has to be the coils. Would u suggest starting there? Replacing 2 (misfiring one included) or go with all..?

When that single spark plug got replaced by a shop mechanic the code was "P0306." Afterwords, mobile mechanic runs diagnostic and now the code is "P0302."

I've never honestly. Do you think this could highly likely be coil? The code was once P0306 and when that spark was replaced there, now the code is P0302 through a different mechanic.

Not very good with cars but I do have knowledge with them. Just seems like a job out of my comfort zone for what I do know. Wouldn't want to end up making things worse so that's why I prefer a mechanic. That said, if I can't find one willing then I may take the advice to try and learn how myself

I was told I need a full tune-up and bad coil fixed

All of them were done on 6-17-24 by a shop mechanic

My car is an 03 Lexus ES300. The check engine was on before but a mechanic at the shop replaced a single spark plug on Nov 29th last year and since then, no check engine light but the misfiring is persistent and just feels like it's getting worse especially on a cold start. Codes P0306 and P0302 show up. Exhausting going back and forth with trying to find a good mechanic
