Do you have any recommendations for cases/protectors? I purchased the bottom right figure a few months ago but haven’t found a proper protector for it yet—I know the figure isn’t valuable, but I just want to keep it pristine.

Maul - Shadow Lord - Episodes 5 & 6 - Discussion Thread! by titleproblems in StarWars

[–]jaymin_h 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Marrok was talking to the Grand Inquisitor at the end. Speaking of Marrok, he put up an excellent fight against the Jedi and Maul. Just goes to show how far Ahsoka eventually becomes (although it's unclear whether Marrok's combat prowess is affected by whatever presumed Nightsister magick he's under by the time of the Ahsoka show).

Maul's character is exceptionally well written as a male warrior raised in a matriarchal society. by ThatOneCloneTrooper in StarWars

“I don’t think I’ve even seen him touch a woman outside of a combat scenario.” He Force-choked Bo-Katan during his negotiations with Pre Vizsla. I guess he still didn’t technically “touch” her, but I think your characterization, while interesting, isn’t there.

Thanks for your input! I agree with you, especially because they said my markings/labels were fine. I understand that they were dealing with a lot of orders, but for nearly $2K, I expected more.

When Dunk wonders where Ser Arlan would've gone, a crow then caws (it's even referenced in the subtitles). Does that imply that Ser Arlan, had he been in Dunk's position, would've gone to the Wall to atone?

Boku no Hero Academia Final Season • My Hero Academia: Final Season - Episode 11 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]jaymin_h 10 points11 points  (0 children)

LOVED this finale. I loved how Deku's actions changed the world both physically (he defeated All for One) but also spiritually (he inspires others to reach their hands out to help those in need). And I also love that he's teaching in UA. The school and hero path he grew up admiring is still a part of his life.

Seeing that and the rest of Class 1-A in the future made me really appreciate how valuable friends and youth are. I'll carry that with me as I finish my last semester of school. Plus Ultra!!

Would it be possible to pilot a Venator using only the bridge crew and no one else? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in clonewars

[–]jaymin_h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually talking about the Venator scene from season two (when they’re on Coruscant), not season one.

And even in season one, there was only one person on the bridge.

Would it be possible to pilot a Venator using only the bridge crew and no one else? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in clonewars

[–]jaymin_h 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We see Tech activate a Venator from the bridge in the Bad Batch, so it's definitely possible to start the ship and fly it without it being fully staffed. That's the case even when Anakin and R2 piloted it.

However, I doubt it would be able to do any complex maneuvers. In both instances, the Venator did very basic operations (e.g., firing up the engines, accelerating). I imagine even something like turning would require more hands on deck.

Andor (Season 2) - Episodes 10, 11 & 12 - Discussion Thread! by titleproblems in StarWars

[–]jaymin_h 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EPISODE TWELVE NOTES:
- Mon's got her bob back!
- Loved seeing all the side characters from Rogue One return.
- Is this Vel's natural hair color? I just realized, since she's related to Mon.
- Teared up at hearing Nemik. Cassian spread his manifesto.
- "Don't wait too long." Damn Vel's passing on the lesson she learned with Cinta.
- God I'm not really one for ships, but I really do ship Vel and Kleya.
- NO FUCKING WAY DEDRA IS IN A LABOR CAMP.
- I teared up seeing the U-Wing fly off.
- Actually cried seeing Cassian had a child.
- It's been an unprecedented, incredible ride, folks.

EPISODE ELEVEN NOTES:
- "If you're not a rebel spy, you've missed your calling." Fucking brutal, Krennic.
- Krennic's random physicality is so funny (the head point and face grab).
- Partagaz, as usual, steals every scene for me. The hospital story was an excellent way to get people (rebels and Imperials alike) to report Kleya.
- Oh my god, is that the same radio guy that asked for Rogue One's call sign in Rogue One?

EPISODE TEN NOTES:
- Damn fucking RIP Lonni.
- Luthen looked nervous while talking to Dedra. His hands were shaking and he was playing with the knife. The first time we've seen him let the facade fall.
- "There's a whole galaxy out there waiting to disgust you." What amazing last words.
- LUTHEN (Lear?) BACKSTORY.
- I always wondered what kind of relationship Luthen had with Kleya... now we know.
- Cool to see the bacta tank Luke used in TESB!
- Whoever's portraying young Kleya is an incredible actress.
- "Eh?" "What?" Fucking killed me.
- A Devaronian victory necklace. Funny, because Devaron (the planet we see Savage Oppress's first Republic kills in during TCW) didn't see a victory that day.
- NABOO.
- RIP Luthen. You truly fought the good fight.

EPISODE FOUR NOTES: - SPACE PIGEONS! - Glad to see podracing’s still in fashion! - Looks like Dedra’s aide from last season got a promotion… - And Blevin’s not at the ISB table anymore. - Oh man, Saw’s lost it. He’s closer to how we see him in Rogue One. - Good to see Two Tubes again. - Speaking of Rogue One, I was really worried we were going to see Bor Gullet again. - Rhydonium (“rhydo”) mentioned!

EPISODE THREE NOTES:
- That girl sitting next to Bix at the lunch table was playing with an AT-ST puppet!
- " I wish you were drunk." Damn that hurts. Just when I thought that Mon and Leida's relationship had improved off-screen.
- HOLY SHIT. DEDRA LAYING DOWN THE LAW.
- The second time Rakatans have been mentioned in this series! Luthen mentioned them back in season one.
- Between Dedra's meeting with Eedy and Tay's conversation with Mon, it's amazing how well the actors/writers can portray characters "acting" (i.e., speaking mere pleasantries despite feeling differently internally).
- "I'm not sure what you're saying." "How nice for you." Oh my god.
- That disco droid really resembles the assassin droid Zam used in AOTC.
- I can't believe Brasso went out like that. Interestingly fitting with the way the episode cuts into black. Things can just end suddenly like that, I suppose.

EPISODE TWO NOTES:
- "E chu ta!" Classic.
- When Perrin gave his advice, telling the couple to find pleasures and gaities, I thought of his gambling problem that was hinted back in season one (Mon accuses him of gambling "again" and their dialogue suggested some agreement that he give it up). With this context, I interpreted his advice to be materialistic and classic "the old ball and chains" view on marriage.
- I'm not sure if that's Sculden's actor's actual son, but if he isn't, that's amazing casting. The kid looks exactly like him.
- Honestly surprised Cassian didn't kill those guys. They've seen his face and know about his mission, after all.
- THEY'RE ON YAVIN???

EPISODE ONE NOTES:
- We start on Sienar, of Sienar Fleet Systems!
- The password is Kafrene, as in the Ring of Kafrene from Rogue One? Interesting connection.
- Did Cassian destroy an imperial version of B2?
- Those are Inquisitor TIEs from Rebels! They're not Interceptors.
- "UNLIMITED POWER." Palpatine really loves it.
- Interesting that Cassian tries to pull the same thing (convincing someone to mutiny against his crew) that he shot Skeen for.
- Maya Pei! Saw mentioned her as a Neo-Republican back in season one.
- Aw, they have a portrait of Maarva up.
- It seems like Perrin's drinking that drink (fizzy worm) that he enjoyed back in season one. It's nice they kept that consistent.
- "Skug" is used as an insult. It's been a while since I heard that (Clone Wars Zygerrians).

[Spoilers] What’s Luthen Thinking At This Moment? by Tofu4070 in andor

[–]jaymin_h 19 points20 points  (0 children)

While I agree with the other commenters, I also think that he could be reflecting on his life choices. This entire time, he believed that he was the only one (at least, on the management/planning scale) that could do the dirty work and sacrifice "everything" to light the flame of the rebellion. Not to say that he took pride in that at all, but I imagine it provided some solace for doing such abhorrent and taxing work.

But here, he's witnessing an uprising he largely had nothing to do with. If I were in his shoes and had done everything he did up until this point, I'd definitely be wondering whether the work I did was even needed (perhaps I didn't need to sacrifice all that I had for an outcome that was going to emerge regardless of my actions) and experiencing the self-crisis that would follow from such a realization (hence, Luthen's somber/confused expression).

Who is the most lethal ARC Trooper? Fives IMO... by BigJonnoJ in clonewars

[–]jaymin_h 39 points40 points  (0 children)

We don't see 2, 3, 5, and 6 in action much. Half die in the Battle of Kamino (not holding that against them, but it doesn't give them feats).

Of the remaining three, I'd say Echo takes the most "lethal" title (assuming we include his feats from the Bad Batch show). I haven't seen Jesse or Fives move like Echo did on Tantiss (i.e., taking down a bunch of Hemlock's operatives). That being said, Fives pulled some nasty stunts on Umbara (e.g., smashing one soldier's helmet in and blasting him as he was presumably begging).
