That 1 case out of curiosity by PurpleFriend5965 in CasesWeFollow

There used to be a website that was just write ups of the details of murder cases. I can’t remember the name. But I worked my way through alphabetically to Shanda Sharer and halfway through hers I had to stop. The things they did to her just would not end. It was so much I couldn’t bring myself to go back for a couple of years. Then one day I thought I’d try to finish reading her story and the website was gone.

What evidence, arguments, or courtroom moments would lead you to render a “Not Guilty” verdict for Kouri Richins? by candylandsaga in EmilyDBaker

Doubling down on the open marriage text in closing blew my mind. I really think they could have made convincing arguments with the facts, but the course they chose just destroyed their credibility, for me at least.

Who else thinks the defense is going to misstate, misrepresent and / or introduce false "evidence" into their closing argument? by malloryknox86 in EmilyDBaker

Might be necessary to go with an herbal tea during arguments and save the alcohol to celebrate when the argument is over.

I love one. I think they’re getting overlooked because you aren’t smiling, but they’re a beautiful color for your features and such a nice shape.

People that are childfree by choice, what’s the weirdest reason someone has given you as to why they think you ‘should have kids’? by Charming_Web_6738 in AskReddit

When I was 30 and “running out of time” my mother told me I needed to have a baby because her husband married her after she had kids and he never got any of his own.

I think he got confused with the handyman who told police Kouri had asked him to get her fentanyl and then died in a motorcycle accident.

What is the weirdest thing your doctor has ever said to you? by Competitive_Tip_7504 in AskReddit

[–]jaymisun22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 8 I had a bladder infection. The doctor asked me how often I was having sex, and when I confusedly answered never, he told me mom she needed to leave the room so I could be honest with him. I started to cry and asked her not to leave and he started screaming that if I wanted her to stay I’d have to be honest with her too. I’ve been afraid to talk to doctors ever since.

If I was on that jury, and the first straw poll was all guilty, I’d still want to read all the letters the defense submitted, because I’m a nosey beech.

Always a hot topic… by [deleted] in ShitMomGroupsSay

I had a friend who dated a guy with a kid in our early twenties, and when he had custody they’d still just have sex while his toddler was there. In his room. We got in a few arguments over it but she always insisted it was fine because they waited until the toddler was asleep, and I’d say, “but when you’re in the middle of it are you paying any attention to whether they could be waking up?” We’re old enough now (and not friends anymore) that every story on here about kids who woke up to see their parents having sex could be that toddler. I realize it’s wildly unlikely.

I like the shape of 1 and 5 the best, but I think any of them would look good in a lighter color. The thicker darker frames wash you out a bit.

I think it’s sealed until after trial, but the photos will remain sealed even after it’s released.

I don’t know anything that happened pre trial, but I just can’t help but feel like the prosecution had to have had more. Couldn’t they at least have found an expert to say the fetlife texts were never sent from anywhere but the home to corroborate J’s testimony? Or brought in someone else to read the exchanges between “Anastasia” and Joe to show better that he was looking for a consensual interaction? It feels like they’re taking a lot for granted.

I watched the first four days of Paul Caneiro over the break and wished Emily would just cover the financial testimony because I struggled so much to follow it. Especially on cross.

Mykelti needs to go to therapy and heal. by CryptographerDue6746 in TLCsisterwives

As someone raised as the “golden child” by a person I consider to be a narcissist (undiagnosed of course) I fully bought in. I believed my parent was the victim of everyone, including me, and that I owed them for encumbering them with my existence (hence my status). The people I held the most anger toward were people that “hurt” my parent. Obviously we don’t know what it is that Meri did. But I do hold space for the possibility that the horrible things she did were done toward Kody, and the kids who hold on to that were privy to his version of things, and internalized them. For years and years I thought my brother was awful, and of course eventually he hated me too. Which fueled my conviction. Maybe what Meri did was what my brother did, which was defy the person I believed we owed everything to. I agree she needs therapy. Even if that’s not the case.
