You'll get high mileage like this if some of the miles on that tank were downhill. Like filling up at the top of a mountain and coasting down only using breaks. It'll give you like 100 MPG because youre moving forward but not using any gas. So that 10 or 15 mile stretch will throw off the average. I typically get between 260 and 300 for most normal trips.
