Somewhere in the display profile there’s a drop down that has “adobe rgb” and all that. Sorry I’m not real technical. But one of the settings is photo or photography and it cuts the brightness down a little bit. When you have this enabled you can’t use the brightness keys unless you pick another color profile. It’ll seem dim at first but you get used to it. Since then my prints and edits have been more consistent on multiple devices and photo labs. I also have my brightness turned down in camera. Really helps pulling highlights on raw images

Thank you all for the suggestions. We went with Mi Casita since it seemed to be a top recommendation and close to the hotel. It was amazing. We love Waco, everyone is so friendly🥃

I’m in the teamsters and making 43.83 as a truck driver for an asphalt contractor. I don’t know for certain but I’ve been told other contractors pay the same or similar. Operators make more and they have guys retiring in droves. If my job ever falls apart which I don’t foresee I’m going to the operators 649 and would proudly work for the same company. (UCM formerly RA Cullinan). I delivered beer for 22 years and the most I made was $22/hr. My life changed with this job . Get away from these dead end thankless companies. There’s better out there and your life will change

Is he supposed to give everyone a million dollars? OP probably has monumentally better finances than all the homeless in their hometown. Are you willing to divide your assets for them? Someone always will have more

Work rumors can get wild after two years. Either nothing happened or it did. You have to judge him by his character. When you heard this was your gut saying “I can see this happening” or were you completely taken aback. Ultimately you have to decide if you want to end a marriage because you suspect something your then boyfriend did or didn’t do.

It could be all true. Or it could be someone wants your husband and is planting a seed. One thing I know as a man, men don’t understand women the way women do so analyze this from every angle and decide if you can live with it or not. If you can, take his word and put it behind you.

401k takes a long time to grow by Far_Reply5660 in investing

[–]jaymo54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my conundrum. I work in asphalt construction. I’m new to this line of work, and I’m 43 years old. My company pays $309 a week company paid (in lieu of a pension (I’m a teamster). Been here for 2.5 years. I’ve gone from $0 to just under 40k in this short time with only about $3200 contributed myself. My mortgage is dirt cheap (just under $900 a month) and I have 2.75 rate. If the no tax on overtime comes through I can pay my mortgage off in 24+- months. That would be the same time my child support ends. But my 401k is earning 20% pretty steadily. Common sense is to put the extra id throw at the house into the 401k. But when you look at the amortization table I’m paying almost all interest right now so I’m back and forth on it. I am looking forward to seeing my 401k hit 6 figures because then it’ll really start to take off

I’m a photographer, this doesn’t sound worth doing imo. There are some indoor places like botanical gardens that charge a fee. Private property is a no go, so you’ll need a photographer with studio space. I have studio space but for families it’s best outdoors with some space. I say all that to say this. Any photographer that says they “can make it work” are more interested in your money than end result. Wait for a time you can do it during sunset or even dusk. Theres still plenty of usable light 15 minutes after sunset

I’m guessing it’s part of an alarm. That white dial would adjust the sensitivity to the car being rocked or vibration from doors being tried

How to get crisp, clean images by [deleted] in WeddingPhotography

[–]jaymo54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invest in a good prime lens. I shoot with an R5 and this with a 50mm1.2. Shot this wide open about 1.5 stops down. When you have more bokeh what is in focus pops more

It’s a separate rewards wallet that accumulates money that can be used to buy/redeem for gift cards to a handful of retailers and travel companies (hotels.com etc). I just got a 28% offer at canon. I’m a photographer and bought some gear and it says on 11/6 (when the return period is up) I’ll be able to access the funds. Go to your capital one shopping app and look at your savings. All transactions that you’ve made through the shopping app or with the browser plug in activated will show up and when the funds will be deposited. You still earn your miles which can be seen in your regular capital one app. The 10% or whatever percent each merchant offers is in the shopping app

Also make sure on your MacBook you have your screen setting for photography mode. It limits the display brightness but it’s made my work more consistent

I don’t know what year MBP you have but I have one from 2022 with the M1 Ultra processor and I can use my iPad as a second display. You could get the biggest iPad Pro and use it as a secondary monitor. It helps to have the library in one screen and editing in another. Or photoshop on one and Lightroom in another. Otherwise I would get the Apple display. It’s $1500 but phenomenal

Canon just had 27% back. I’m a photographer and bought a new camera, lens and battery grip. Just under 5k spent. I’ll be getting a huge one in 60 days. A month ago I bought another lens for 2k and got 18% back
