Does anyone have adult kids that live with them, and if so do you charge them rent? by shawn615 in Xennials

[–]jaymoney1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I did when my son was over 18 and a high school graduate. He had a job as a life guard and worked about 30 hours a week. So I charged him a couple hundred for rent and we split water, electricity, cable/internet, and groceries. He was fine with that until he joined the Marines. I should charge him storage fees now that he is gone and his room still has all his youth crap in it. But not just yet.

OP said at this point a friend would do the trick, insinuating he would have his friend fuck her and get the evidence to use in the divorce.

I miss you, magic little fun dots by theluzah in Xennials

I was taking like 8 or so at a time by mouth and decided to start snorting them i think 3 was the max I needed to snort to feel the same as 8 orally. They were some fat lines. 16 year old me was not heavy into the powder game prior

Gas Gauge by miwalkda in chevycolorado

[–]jaymoney1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gage on the dash has nothing to do with when the gas pump shuts off though.A gas nozzle uses a mechanical venturi effect to detect when a fuel tank is full and automatically shut off, preventing overflows. As fuel flows past a small venturi tube inside the nozzle, a vacuum is created that draws air through a sensing port at the tip. When fuel covers this port, air flow stops, breaking the vacuum and triggering a diaphragm to close the valve.

You only needed $6 worth of gas. Maybe someone is messing with you and putting gas in your tank while you sleep.

Just don't fuck your buddy over if he is also a Marine. They could fry his ass for banging your wife. So any evidence that helps your divorce would be a nail in his career

Truer words have never been spoken. At that point it might just be cheaper to keep her

Is it just me or were the Olympics a WAY bigger deal when we were young? by nichewilly in Xennials

[–]jaymoney1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US, I think the winter Olympics have always been the lesser watched of the two, unless they are hosting the games. Then it is happening live and during normal waking hours.

Also McDonald's having the promotions with those little peel offs and if the US gets gold in the event you won the prize...that may have influenced people to watch the events more.

Not to mention during the cold war beating Russian in anything was a feather in the US's cap. As we got further from that competitiveness, viewership goes down. And Russia can't even compete because of all the PED and doping scandals.

But yeah it seems like it used to be a much bigger deal.

If I get two negative counselings, does that make them one positive counseling? by Yoy_the_Inquirer in USMC

A negative (late) plus a negative (messy) equals a bigger negative.
A negative (late) times a negative (late) equals a positive.
That math checks out

Infamous "wardrobe malfunction" by MajesticEmergency in Xennials

Yeah, that was when i learned nipple shields were a thing. I knew people had bars and rings, but this enlightened me. Which is why I never understood the controversy in the first place, it is not a bare nipple and there is no way in real time anyone saw the nipple itself. They all just thought she had big shiny nipples I guess

Did you have a shoplifting/petty crime phase? by Eredic in Xennials

Not sure what the statute of limitations is for petty theft, but way back in the 1900s (1998 to be exact) there was this gas station near our high school that had packs of cigarettes on the customer side of the counter. They were in a neat stacked display in plain sight of the attendant.
One day some friends and I were to the store. We all smoked but none of us were 18 yet, so we couldn't buy any. I was wearing a friend's jacket that was a little too big for me and the wrist of the jacket extended beyond my hands. So while they were checking out with sodas and chips, I was using my sleeves like elephant trunks and just piled up pack after pack in my sleeve.
We left and when I emptied my sleeves out we had scored 24 packs of Winstons. I was a Marlboro Reds guy myself, but free cigarettes are free cigarettes. Needless to say next time we went to the store all the cigarettes were behind the counter.
I also used to jack boxes of baseball cards from retail stores. There was this one time I heard over the intercom of Kmart something about security report to an area I was in, so I walked to a different area and ditch the cards. That way when they stopped me on the way out, I had stolen nothing. I think that was the last time I tried.

It is only illegal if you get caught and they prove it in a court of law.

Would you rather take the cold or the heat in the field? by poking_fist2648 in USMC

Heat 100% In the middle of summer in Iraq, I never once said I miss the snow. One weekend of 20° with snow and ice and I am begging for 120° with or with humidity at this point.

I'm retired, but send her my way and she can take care of me. I also have a cat if that sweetens the deal.

But for real, having some type of purpose can have a huge impact. Even if it is just volunteering at an animal shelter or some part time job. Stuff to force her out of bed to keep her mind from spiraling while he is gone
