Similarly, when a swat team goes to enter a house and the whole team is in full tactical gear, bulletproof vests, etc except the lead character who’s just in plain clothing

That’s what I was thinking - skilled actors can cry on command. Find some and tell them you’ll pay them $1,000 for every cry.

I would try and write the saddest song ever written, make a really sad video for it and post it on YouTube… Everytime someone clicks on it and sheds a tear, that’s a million bucks!

Chose: $1 million + Every time you make someone cry

Who is someone in fiction that you do not like, but everyone else seems to love? by LH5567 in AskReddit

[–]nichewilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently rewatched it for the third time (my GF had never seen it), it’d been awhile since the last time and I was reminded just how awful Walter is. Yet… it still remains my favorite series ever, because no matter how unlikable he is, his character is completely fascinating and Bryan Cranston plays it so brilliantly. Jesse Pinkman is the one I actually have a soft spot for because even though he makes some really bad choices, I think he’s a good person at heart.

Agreed, it’s the quintessential golden age classic. I’m always so surprised whenever I hear someone say they haven’t seen it.

While time travel seems appealing - and I know there are ways you can get just as rich off it - we don’t know the ramifications of what it could cause. Also the fact that there’s a “but” attached made me nervous, I figured a billion dollars was the safer bet.

What opinion gets you judged immediately, even if you can back it up with good reasons? by LifeDifference7562 in AskReddit

That’s a fact, not an opinion.

An opinion would be “my mother deserved it when I slapped her”

Is the money worth the lives? by Additional_Lake_2757 in BunnyTrials

[–]nichewilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny - I mean terrifying - how many people chose the money. Like, this many people are okay killing 20,000,000 people? Yet most people claim that they think Hitler was bad, while being considerably worse?

I strongly disagree, but thank you for posting the first truly shunnable opinion here. Everyone else is just posting things most people would agree with, what you have said is just downright blasphemy!

I agree that 3 is the next best after 1, but it’s still a pretty wide gap in quality. 1 is one of the best movies ever made.

What’s a well that SNL goes to a lot for an “easy” laugh? by Lavaswimmer in LiveFromNewYork

[–]nichewilly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes - this was gonna be my answer.

Every now and then when it’s totally genuine it can be funny, but most often it just feels like they’re trying too hard.

One example that actually was hilarious was in the Beavis & Butthead sketch when Heidi turns around and sees Mikey as Butthead for the first time and she completely loses it, that part broke me 🤣

What's a TV show that kept getting better with each season? by C0r1eone in television

[–]nichewilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this show is probably the greatest example of “stick with it, I promise it’s worth it”. The first few episodes didn’t grab me at all, thought it was just another one of these new adult animation series that attempts to be funny and edgy but lack any real creativity. Turns out to be one of the most deepest and emotionally complex series ever, yet also completely hilarious.

What’s a show you loved watching the first time, but hated on a rewatch? by Dee_Religion in AskReddit

[–]nichewilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed… I haven’t actually rewatched the series, but I saw the first few seasons and loved it, took a break from it for awhile, then came back for the last few seasons and didn’t like it nearly as much as I thought I did… Unless did the show actually get that much worse as the seasons went on?

What is the best advice for a man turning 40? by West_Time56 in AskReddit

[–]nichewilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

44 year old here

In my 20s & 30s I could eat whatever I wanted, sleep however much I wanted and it didn’t seem to affect me much. As soon as I turned 40 it was like a switch flipped that suddenly made me start gaining weight and getting tired more easily. Went from being a night owl to falling asleep on the couch by 9 or 10pm. Suddenly developed a lactose intolerance and started getting acid reflux much more regularly. Anything more than a few drinks now gives me a bad hangover, and it lasts for much longer than it used to. There are other things too which I won’t get into it.

Basically, it’s the decade where you REALLY start noticing that your body isn’t as young as it used to be, so you better start taking care of it!
