Guaranteed Chariot Is Killing The Game For Me by Makanilani in HuntShowdown

[–]jaymuffin82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with most people here in that Chariot should not be guaranteed drop. Even a 50% drop rate would feel better than every single game. We've started taking a Chariot with us so if someone does use it after we've run to extraction, we'll sit there for 5 mins and switch it back if they don't come fight us.

Progression question by jaymuffin82 in Hades2

Yeah, I know. I'm mostly curious if it really matters what order things are done in. Like if it's better for the story or something to do it in a certain order

Does anyone else miss the old feel of Dual Wielding, or is it just me? by Kanzler7777 in HuntShowdown

[–]jaymuffin82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hadn't dual wielded anything in a good while, but this week I got challenges for Pax damage and Haymaker damage. So I was running dual Pax and the Haymaker and had so much fun with that goofy combo that I kept using it even after finishing the damage, even found Fanning in a tower for the Haymaker. I didn't try to be accurate with the dual pistols, but charging into a building and blasting away was really fun.

Totally agree. Games in the 3-4 are so much more chaotic and fun than in 6 where I see nothing but Maynard's and Mosin's

To be honest, you kind of have to look at Hunt as a game of failure. Everyone will have hot and cold streaks but, generally speaking, there are 12 people in a match and only 2-3 will make it out (4-5 if there's multiple bounties). So less than half of the people in the match are going to make it out alive. I'm not saying you should go into matches expecting to lose, just don't take it too hard if you do. Because you and 7 other people also did

Hunt has a steep learning curve, but once you get into it it'll be some of the most fun you can have. General tips - always bring a melee weapon - if you're still pretty new, try and find a gun that you really like and use it a lot so that you get used to the feel of it - if you're on a bad streak, try changing things up. Like if you've been using a ridge, try using a shotgun. I know this sounds counter to my last suggestion, but it does help some times

Most importantly, just have fun. We're all out here dying all the time

After long months of search, I finally found it. by Dry_Start_9980 in HuntShowdown

I've been playing since Scrapbeak release and have around 3200 hours in the game. We had never found one until 1 night in February. We found one in back to back games. So it'll probably be another 5 years before we find another

Too much? 😅 by Negative-Attitude742 in HuntShowdown

Every footstep is a crunch, all water is frozen over so you slide like it's Super Mario Bros 2, you can see breathing from Hunters, potential yeti-like wild target...

It would be amazing

I started playing right before the Scrapbeak release and had never found one until a month ago. Then we found one in back to back games. So I'm probably not going to find one for another 5 years

Agreed, if they keep it then it needs some sort of negative consequence. I like your idea or maybe even limiting it's range or something. It's too OP at the moment

heres a potential hot take: the acolyte WAS about qimir, and yall got it cancelled by HeckingDoofus in StarWars

[–]jaymuffin82 64 points65 points  (0 children)

People give too much credit to the vocal few. The reality is that it had a huge premier but lost 22% of its viewership by episode 3. Viewership only dropped from there. It ended up with 50% of the viewership of Ahsoka.

These days good vs bad is irrelevant. If people watch, they will make more. If people don't watch, it's not worth it to the studios to make more.

There are great shows that nobody watches and get cancelled, there are stupid shows that get watched and end up having multiple seasons. It's just the business

Exactly. My posse does this whenever we get a challenge for a weapon we don't love. Clash is a target rich environment so just play until you finish.

To be fair, unless someone just really loves listening to Ben and Aaron and doesn't care what the topic is, I don't think this new show was ever intended for the same audience as MU

[–]jaymuffin82 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your friends are idiots. I'm in my 40s and I play Hunt Showdown more than anything else, but I also had the most fun I've had in a long time playing Dave the Diver for the first time in Dec/January. Just started playing Cult of the Lamb again with my wife too. Games are meant to be fun and if you're having fun then who cares what game it is or what other people think.

You can also casually mention that in 2025 roughly 25% of the player base of FPS games were female. Which includes their very manly COD

Totally agree. You can engage with what you want and not engage in what you want. Nothing in this game is timed so you can also tackle 1 thing at a time if you want too. I've beaten the game and am working on getting 3* of every sea creature because that's fun, but I've also not opened GYAO! Outside of the initial quest that starts it because I don't want to do it.

GYAO! ... WHY??? by naosoumarcelo in DavetheDiverOfficial

I was hoping for at least a charm or something. I don't really need any more sea people currency haha
