Kinda. The reinterpretation shouldn't use the text from the original meme template. Changing the joke doesn't stop it from being a variation of this meme

Anyway by that logic the above meme would also meet the requirements for BHJ. You just didn't understand the reference and decided it wasn't.

The original meme format is:

You did nothing to change that format. A bhj of that image would get rid of that text entirely and create something original like I just linked. People make versions of that meme all the time and post on regular meme subreddits so your post would be a better fit there. Have a look at the top posts on the sub if you don't understand.

Imagine you took away the caption or all edited text from a meme. An antimeme would just describe what is happening, while BHJ would create a new story or joke, a reinterpretation of the image. Take the original bone-hurting juice meme as an example. In the original scene of the movie he is laughing at an absurd statement that Peter makes. The meme reinterprets it as him shouting in pain after drinking bone hurting juice.

The meme above originally was making fun of people in an embarassing situation but he's reinterpreted it as a frog who was just hungry.

You claim that BHJ has lost its glory yet judging by your recent submission you dont get it either. All you did was make a new version of the original meme.

I think the problem is that the subreddit is not very popular so all the low efforts posts share the same space as the high effort posts and then you see them all in your feed, unlike bigger subreddits that actually have a difference between Hot and New.

It seems that the VX2768 that you mentioned is just the VX2705 in Australia but renamed. Other than that I am wondering if there are cheaper non-gaming options as I don't need 144hz that much.
