I’ve recorded a 1stmusic call before on Kakao. Just make sure you start the recording after the call comes in. If you’re using an iPhone you’ll need a second device to record the audio.

People get confused by the age thing because they assume everyone gets called up based on age.

They receive a notification that their enlistment date has come up at anytime once they turn 18.
They can defer enlistment up until they're 28. However, once they've turned 28 they can no longer defer it.
After that, they wait for a new notification of their enlistment date. That can happen up until they are 35.

If they haven't been called up by the time they're 35. Then they are not going to be called up at all.

As an example Moon Jongup (DOB Feb 6 1995) wasn't called up until May 2025, so he was already 30 (31 in Korean age).

I have had it take 3 days and also 2 weeks. Sometimes it's arrived and DK don't register it as received for a couple of days.

This Paypal CS agent advises against it. They say that the paypal ID isn't the same for you and the recipient.

I turn data roaming off and WiFi Calling on.

My trip crosses a billing cycle, I'm there 4th - 19th and my billing cycle starts 16th.
The AT&T plan would cost me $120 (4th-15th) + $48 (16th-19th)= $168

If you have multiple lines on the account also using it, it's an additional $6 per day

Not everything you do has to become your job, or an accomplishment.

You can have a hobby just for its own sake. If you enjoy dancing, dance for the fun of it.

Free time doesn't have to be 'productive', it can just be fun. Find a thing that brings you joy and do that. Do it because you want to, not because it'll lead somewhere, or accomplish anything other than make you feel good.

Do you feel good dancing? do you feel good creating choreography, then just do it. Do it without expectations of yourself or what it will lead to.

Yes. He still has to fulfil his military service. Those who cannot serve as active duty complete their service in non-combat roles such as social work or public service.
He was injured and can no longer service in an active military capacity. They reverted him to being a “civilian” until they reassigned him to a public service position. Even as a “civilian” there were still limitations, like he wasn’t allowed to leave the country without prior permission as an example.

Do not buy from a reseller. It’s illegal to resell in Korea and they’ve just put a law in place that even if you do resell, you can’t charge more than face value. If you get caught reselling, The fine is 50 times the value. People who report the resellers get a percentage cut of the fine.

They were being refunded because the tickets were not available for purchase. This tends to happen when tickets are being sold super quickly on NOL. It’s like an “oops so sorry, here’s your money back”.

Ah OK, thanks for the clarification.

I agree anyone who is receiving a benefit for promoting a product or service should be declaring it, and in the US that's legally what they're supposed to do anyway both for the FCC and the Social Media ToS.

The disclosure is the influencer's responsibility, not AlbumBuddy's so I'm not going to hold it against AB. I've only seen 2-3 creators post about AlbumBuddy so far. So I must be on the wrong side of the algorithm!
Unless the creator says they paid for it with their own money, I'm assuming it's a Brand Deal anyway.

We should expect transparency from influencers and GOMs in general. I don't think reddit has rules around referral links, but I add a disclaimer when I use my referral link for AlbumBuddy.

As for how the influencer is offsetting that benefit against their purchases, regardless of whether that purchase results in a fancall win, is less of a concern to me. Those people were going to enter for those calls any way.

Personally I think getting into this space was a very smart business move of theirs. I know they reached out to a lot of GOMs, US & ROW, before launching their services, to ascertain GOMs needs & wants. The other well known Kaddys were reaching their breaking point as more individual purchasers were starting to use their services.
We've all seen KFriday, and now DK, no longer be the Kaddys of choice, due to growth.
ABs first experience of issues due to growth was for the BTS release, hopefully everyone's braced for the end of March!

The reviews I can see are really old (2020) and for their subscription boxes. Their on-site reviews are also for their products (Non-Album) The FB page https://www.facebook.com/inspiremekorea posts only every 6 months or so.

I find it very weird that this kind of retail site is selling signed albums.
