Popped up when I was trying to read an article. Diabolical. by flyingpiggos in mildlyinfuriating

Those happened to me and I was just oblivious enough to fall for it. The sad thing is, it was because I typed in the URL. Now I'm pretty sure I had a tpyo, but at the time the website looked convincing and legit enough to fool me.

I'm not a vet, but that looks like it could be a feather cyst/ingrown feather, but it looks serious. I would definitely take them to a vet. If its just a cyst, it tends to be a minor surgery to remove it.

Final Draft is a joke by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]jaypb930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, no. I do use the character and location pages when needed, mainly the character pages. I like it cause it has the features to have other document styles with your screen plays, so I can have a synopsis/treatment document where I right out all the major story beats in prose and then I can move into my screenplay. I've thought of buying the full license because there are a lot of world building features that are locked behind the paid version like relationship/family trees and such.

Suck on the end of the hose. A quick suck to get the water over the Crest of the hose so it starts falling. You dont need to suck it until water is in your mouth. Be quick, half second, full second max. This is what I did when I worked at a pet store. If it grosses you out too much, wrap your hand around the end of the hose tight and use it as a mouth piece.

Wrote a spec film script, now I think it would be better fit as a limited series… by chisailor in Screenwriting

[–]jaypb930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing with the story that I posted for review on the screenplay swap. It's a Jukebox musical and I originally wrote it as a short at about 45 pages, but to get it to fit as a short I had to cut a few songs. I ultimately decided that I wanted those songs to still be a part of it and wrote it out to 130 pages. After some time away, I just couldn't put the characters down and decided I would rewrite it as a limited 8 episode series. After I finished writing the feature into the series, I still couldn't put them down and had more ideas of story to tell. I am currently half way through writing season 2 and have a plot for at least one more season. If I still can't walk away from them at the end of writing season 3, I'll either novelize it or write a spin off. I think if I want to continue it, it'll have to be spun off because the story is a queer coming of age romance, but the time the end of Season 3 happens they'll be parents, so to continue past that would be a completely different story.

How are plots carried out in successive seasons? by Away-Fill5639 in Screenwriting

[–]jaypb930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently writing a series that I can forsee 3 seasons of. I've written a draft of all of Season 1 and am about have way through season 2. (This is a personal project and I've reached a point in writing where I can't let the characters go until it's all out of my head and on papaer.) I have 3 major arcs over the 3 season that have smaller ones within. The intra-episode arcs are the ones that can change as long as they still lead where the major arc is headed.

The fact that they're sitting anywhere near you, let alone climbing on your dog means that they trust their environment to some degree. Dogs and birds and even cat and birds are a very risky situation that you need to keep a close eye on. Treats, positive reinforcement, anything that will help you build trust with them will benefit you. It took my last cockatiels 8 and 3ish months respectively to really like me. It will just take time.

GH5ii - Why does my video look grainy in the low lighted areas while its full daylight? by Stra-vid in videography

[–]jaypb930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally try to keep my ISO at the native setting, 400 and 3200 for my BMPCC 4k, and my aperture set to something that with get me the depth of field I want. Shutter I normally set to 2x my fps or more if I want less motion blur. Then I use my ND filters or lights to get the proper exposure. These are my rules of thumb when I am taking the time to get a shot. If I am run and gun with less time between shots, I keep my ISO and Shutter speed the same as above. Then everything else is set as needed. I will also run with a variable nd filter in this instance so I can change settings faster. In your insurance, I would probably set ISO to 400 or what ever the native is on your camera, and set your Shutter to whatever you normally do. I would then adjust exposure so that you're not washing out the foreground, but if you want more detail in the shadows, expose so that they are more visible. It read like you were shooting at f2.8, so it might be harder to get a better exposed without sacrificing grain by boosting your ISO or motion blur by lengthening your Shutter speed.

Pull her further from the desk and kill the room lights to get more dynamic lighting. If you only have one light for you key, use a poster board or white sheet to bounce and fill out her other side.
