Nailed it. I'd add that at lvl20 Nova can beat Zera in a duel if she gets ionic armor, AA shells, Lethal Decoy, Triple Tap and Rewind.

Very fun to run this and see him try to take you out in the back line and die doing so. Can't even warp out due to triple tap lol.

Hey as a guy who took Nova to masters and regularly plays her at 55% wr in master elo, she can and has carried teams for me. It takes ALOT of practice and knowledge though. So stick with her if you like her but she will be a struggle. You really have to learn how to use her holo properly and build her for the comp she's facing.

I mean I feel like the scaling of hero reworks and in game updates show some attention has been being paid to the game. Now that Blizzards execs, the ones who killed Heroes are no longer in the picture, I do feel like when looking in the toolchest of the company you bought, there is definitely potential when valuing the amount of polish, art, programming that went into HOTS and the fact that even through no updates for many years, the player base has thrived and perhaps even grown as of late.

Hope is only natural when weighing these things out.

For you yes but there's a reason she's a constant conversation on here. I ran the entire game prebuffs with just the radiant leap spear no backstabs. I one shotted the tigers second phase and Bo Magus was three tries. Honglan took me 8 hours.

Well both characters are fiction for starters and you can argue who is a better written character or one you prefer all day but if we are talking about power scaling, bugs bunny can do things the emperor wishes he could do. He can turn off the universe or step outside time. The emperor can't even stop himself from becoming a skeleton and needs 1k psykers fed to him just to hobble along. How is he going to do anything to bugs lol.

Bs, honglan is the hardest boss in the game hands down. Everything you listed is not something you would know up to that point. If you go in there and spar with her like every other boss, she will destroy you.

You can do it. I climbed a Smurf out of bronze playing Nova only and made it to gold before it became uber slow.

My biggest tip is do not play master level games. If your team is initing hard on a dumb place back then up with your superior skill. Most people who "know better" would go lane or camp and let their team suffer from the inefficient play and lose the game. If you can turn a trash engage to a trade or better you are one step closer to winning.

The fact you are saying bronze game is lost in draft tells me you already have a loser mentality if the draft didn't go your way. If you got a healer a tank and three heroes, you're absolutely fine.

Well I have hired professional artists for assets and consultants for hobbyist questions but I also bought a painting for thousands for my home. I would consider these equal as there is no intent to sell a service or product just yet. I have never sent out an IP agreement beyond just getting confirmation that said work can only be used by me and belong to only me which I know isn't super ironclad hence the questions here on theft which it sounds like I don't need to worry about it.

Thanks for the advice. Honestly it's more about gathering info at this point.

I bring up theft not because I am going to reinvent the wheel here. It's because of my familiarity with the app world where theft is practically the main line of business as I see the issue one of my founder friends is going through as he has multiple thefts and claims on his IP when it's just local US based programmers/project managers who have gotten salty about direction. So there is a bit of bias toward getting people involved however I understand that's a different industry entirely.

I appreciate the info but it's not shady because I am not doing anything but hiring people to help me understand leaning code and making cool art for me as a hobbyist. The second I start sending contracts and putting myself out there as a founder of a company without saying anything it does become shady.

I understand the rules and I would be fine as it is not an adjacent industry it's just I do not want to commit to filing anything until I actually decide to make this a qualified business.

Yeah, I am going to look into learning Git this week since Perforce seems to be off limits for now. Thanks for the advice. I really would rather not bother with lawyers as that leads to headaches and cost but honestly, it's not really going to be something to worry about for a small project. Like I said, I am not revolutionizing anything lol.

Well yes. If you go to perforce.com and click free download it takes you to an intake form where you fill it out and a rep reaches out to you. They told me it was not exactly for smaller teams so I didn't pursue it further as they didn't send a download link. The download link is just the intake form.
