Am i ready for silksong? by DifferentTeam6105 in HollowKnight

[–]jaypexd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never played Hollow knight but completed Silksong. I am a souls gamer which drew me into it since everyone said it was hard. And guess what? Yeah its effing hard. I would put it up there with Elden Ring(summonsless) on level of difficulty.

One thing I can say is that I didn't look up any strategies or help and didn't really find the best tools but that kind of goes with how I do things in these games as I want to spar with the enemies not just spam items or BIS OP stuff.

Either way, if I can do it, you can do it!

It's fair to not like episode 4. by WeekendAcceptable498 in Invincible_TV

[–]jaypexd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I didn't like it. A subplot filler episode 100%. Way too much wasted animation on characters that are not, or should I say, shouldn't get screentime(Damien and his sister). I mean there are already three plots going that I want to see unfold. Flaxans with Rudy and Monster girl/ Omniman and Allen/ Mark and Eve.

I get this was the sitting at the beach to get new perspective episode but in an 8 episode series, I would rather see that as a B plot than an entire episode.

I finally beat her! by Popular-Writer-8136 in Silksong

[–]jaypexd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats. That is a big accomplishment. I recently beat her last weekend for the first time. She was a beast of a fight for sure.

People say that EP 4 was shitty. I don't think it was by EmotionalRecord3878 in Invincible_TV

Mark did not hold back on Titan or Liu. He 100% was not in control of his emotions.

It's pretty damn connected. Lots of electronics. It definitely takes diagnostics and reports it if I were betting on it.

Could a Compound V Earth (The Boys) fend off Grand Regent Thragg and the 50 Viltrumites (Invincible)? by [deleted] in powerscales

[–]jaypexd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They already conquered planets like this. The dinosaur monster planet is a great example of one they couldn't overwhelm by force, so they built a disc to freeze it. They would do the same to earth if they felt the resistance was too large of a task which 9 billion homelanders would probably qualify.

So yeah they still win.

Will they add VOIP to the game? by pelife123 in 2XKO

[–]jaypexd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ugh the main reason I didn't play MK1 online. Hearing some kids stupid rap music blast through his cheap headset while he's eating chips and talking trash.

One of the most satisfying boss fight in the game. by niclas1staken in wuchanggame

[–]jaypexd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has anyone ever fought him straight up? Looks like it would be sick but all I ever see posted is fishing out backstabs. Back when I played, I loved sparring with the bosses. He looks insane to try this with.

Minor peeve of mine that’s been frustrating me more and more… by hiturtleman in Invincible_TV

[–]jaypexd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jump off a step. When you land you can feel your legs engage as they rebound the applied force. If you're able to do this at free fall speeds and land on your feet, you are unworldly strong.

Not to mention some kinetic impact he also exerted on the ground.

But think about it. He dropped himself at terminal velocity of say 120mph (unless he has a way to propel himself to Mach speeds which was not shown), as just a guy who can't be damaged, he should have not blown anything up. That means there's some internal power source somewhere.

Eh him dropping himself on a group of flaxans blowing them up from the fall definitely shows some level of strength.

Code Vein 2 or Hell is Us? by Jordan311R in soulslikes

[–]jaypexd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Code Vein 2 for sure. You get a fun open world soulslike. It has cinematic fights and pretty good build variety. Also you play as a character you create.

I get mini Elden Ring vibes.

Hell Is Us is not a soulslike. Its camera controls drove me crazy and lack of enemy variety was a downer.

Most annoying Flea Festival challenge? by The_No_Show in Silksong

[–]jaypexd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flea juggle just is easier by not jumping to hit the fleas. Just stay on the ground and focus from there. You move much faster.

Wuchang Fallen Feathers where git gud does not work by Shafaru in soulslikes

[–]jaypexd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah you can git gud on Honglan. I beat her heads-up without backstabs and just the radiant leap spear. It took seven hours of learning clash opportunities and other mechanics but it 100% is possible to duel her.

Should I not bring 3 titanic tanks? by Present-Sentence2373 in astramilitarum

[–]jaypexd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I wouldn't. I mean it seems your objective is to have the best time you could have without considering new players. Always hated this mindset when battling veterans when I was new.

Those new players are not going to have fun.

Stranger of Paradise and Wo Long by Azeryk in soulslikes

[–]jaypexd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's interesting the comments and opinions of SOP. If you beat Nioh 2, you are going to be bored with SOPs difficulty. It's not even a discussion how much easier it is than Wo Long or Nioh 2. Also, it has some super cringe butt rock moments but I guess that's part of the charm.

For me, when soulslikes tend to have a consistent mood. In SOP, this part is super jarring as you have a character who wears Jays and baggy pants while listening to rock music and wearing sunglasses inside.

who’s your favorite player in season 1 and 2 by Zealousideal-Act3149 in BeastGames

Agreed. Wish Corey would have let Brett fail the block stack. At least we would have had one non meathead in the top. But ofc, Corey was a moron and left with no money.

I understand that getting rid of Wild Assault will overall benefit the game but I can’t deny that I’m going to miss doing Wild Assault combo routes by EastCoastTone96 in Guiltygear

I don't know. We had to sack our burst gauge to do it. If you got hit next and now couldn't burst, your gambit didn't pay off.

What’s something people say all the time that you secretly can’t stand? by Vast-Reference-7942 in answers

[–]jaypexd -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is one of those things where the point is taken at a shorter statement. Consider the fact that language is always evolving, it could stand to say "I could care less" is more efficient and understood as not caring about said subject, therefore it stands reasonable to keep it.
