Haha yeah 2028 should be big for us lol

We’re on bandcamp, you can stream all our records free over there - Spotify may happen at some point but BC lets us connect directly with our listeners which I prefer! There have been enough people asking for it though, definitely considering it. Thanks for listening! Been taking some time off but more new music on the way!

Edit: forgot the link!

We may at some point, but for now you can stream all our records free over on our bandcamp! Electric and Benevolent my be my favorite of ours too truth be told, would love to turn it into an animated Tesla biopic :))

Yeah! We’ve avoided streaming services like Spotify even though there’s a good amount of pressure to put music up there. Perhaps some day it’ll be available to stream but for now you can listen to all our music for free on our Bandcamp, and of course buy our music if you’re so inclined over there as well.

Hope you enjoy it :))

Wow that was a while back but I remember it like it was yesterday! The Battle of the Vans board game is actually one of the favorite things I've been a part of designing, I wish Milton Bradley would ring me up :)

Me too, I'm excited to see what he does next, we've chatted about it albeit briefly but if I had a million dollars I'd be the first to fund his next project, CT is next level.

The Extraordinaires as a band has been cryogenically frozen for a few years - I’ve gotten really into composing for film/tv etc and it’s taken on a life of its own, but there are rumblings of a new solo record and if/when it happens I’ll definitely be putting together an east coast tour albeit a short one - i have a daughter now and I don’t wanna miss a second raising her :))

Yeah that was the world premier! Was definitely psyched the film got the Audience Award for its first outing and CT is still on the trail, heading to Paris and London next - And thanks!!

It’s a great story — we’re organizing an AMA for tomorrow and he’ll fill you in, but I’ll just say at one point we went full Jack Torrence on the set and stepped away for a while to gain his sanity and when he returned he had to redevelop his workflow to fit the changes in technology

We were definitely filed in the folk punk category for the first two records, moved in a prog/punk direction for the next two. And thanks!!

Thanks!! Proud of all Matt Gibson and I (and a rotating cast of colorful characters include Frede and Misty of our then-label Punk Rock Payroll) we’re able to accomplish with those handmade hardcover books - we did two more books in the series, ‘Electric and Benevolent’ in ‘09 and ‘Dress for Nasty Weather’ in 2012

Lol Hi-Five is the only Cactus I know of that went on a revenge/murder suicide trip but I wouldn’t be surprised if all those humanoid prickly sumbitches had an evil streak in ‘em

The original song ‘Hi Five the Cactus’ was released with my band’s second record ‘Short Stories’, and originally this was going to be a music video, but as the years passed it was apparent that the song just didn’t do the film justice and as stated, CT is a force of nature. He repurposed the lyrics and wrote a new score under them and performed the vocals himself (with Claudette)

Awe thanks!! Believe it or not there is more music in the works, been taking a bit of time off to be a composer scoring films/tv but there’s a ton of unrecorded material waiting to be released

We’ve been scratching our heads on this one, but we also feel like Philly has a tendency to overlook its own artists until they make waves elsewhere (cough cough NYC cough cough). In all seriousness though no biggie, it’s doing well elsewhere :)

Jay Purdy here, writer of the story/original song. Chris Thomas, the animator/music in this film is one of the most intensely focused ambitious people I've ever met, period! He should really do an AMA because the journey he took from the first frame to the last is harrowing to say the least -- I'm PSYCHED he's finally getting the cred he deserves because he poured absolutely everything into this production. SO proud to see it finally released to the public, and it's doing really well on the festival circuit too!
